How to Pronounce QATAR

established English pronunciation of this Arabic  word. If you saw this country, you would know

that Americans wouldn't say 'France' but they  would say 'France'. That's been established.

The first thing is that we can imitate the  stress. So, it's first syllable stress.

So "QAT-ar" would be more accurate than  "qa-TAR", which has second syllable stress.
