Some people worry about these occurrences a lot.

Generally speaking, superstition relates to good luck and bad luck.

These action relate to ways of avoiding bad things happening and how to ensure that good things will occur instead.

Some people class religion as a type of superstition, which is slightly unfair,

as religious belief is often based on faith rather than irrational ideas.

Although that particular viewpoint might be best left for another time.

For example, the number four in China is seen as unlucky because the sound of the word is similar to the one for death.
