In this video, we’re going to talk about the prepositions: in, on and under.

এই ভিডিওতে, আমরা অব্যয়গুলি সম্পর্কে কথা বলতে যাচ্ছি: ইন, অন এবং আন্ডার।

Now, we use prepositions to show ‘where’ something is.

এখন, আমরা 'কোথায়' কিছু দেখানোর জন্য অব্যয় ব্যবহার করি।

So, let’s take a look at the board.

Okay, now in this picture, we have a cat.

Okay, and we’re talking about this specific cat, so we have to say, “the cat”.

The preposition ‘on’… “the chair”.

And the next one.

“The cat is ‘under’…

"বিড়ালটি

’under’ the table.”

Let’s look at the next one.

Now we have plural nouns.

“The apples ‘are’…”

Okay. “…in the box.”

Again, the apples are “…’in’ the box.”

Next, “The apples are ‘on’ the chair.”

You should use the preposition ‘in’.

আপনার 'in' অব্যয় ব্যবহার করা উচিত।

“The dog is ‘in’ the doghouse.

“কুকুরটি ডগহাউসে আছে।

“Where is the man?”

"কই সেই মানুষ?"

“Where is the man?”

"কই সেই মানুষ?"

“The man is ‘under’ the umbrella.”

"লোকটি ছাতার নিচে'।

“The man is ‘under’ the umbrella.”

"লোকটি ছাতার নিচে'।

And last.

এবং শেষে.

“Where are the girls?”

"যেখানে মেয়েরা?"

“Where are the girls?”

"যেখানে মেয়েরা?"

“The girls are ‘on’ the bridge.”

"মেয়েরা ব্রিজের ওপর' আছে।"

“The girls are ‘on’ the bridge.”

"মেয়েরা ব্রিজের ওপর' আছে।"

Okay.

Let’s look at some more examples.

Now, we’re going to practice asking and answering questions using: in, on and under.

এখন, আমরা ব্যবহার করে প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা এবং উত্তর দেওয়ার অনুশীলন করতে যাচ্ছি: ইন, অন এবং আন্ডার।

First, let’s take a look at this picture.

Here we have a rabbit, a chair and one, two, three snakes.

Okay.

So, I will ask a question using in, on or under.

I want you to think.

Is the answer, “Yes, it is.”

Let’s start with the rabbit.

“Is the rabbit on the chair?” “…on the chair?”

"খরগোশ কি চেয়ারে আছে?" "…চেয়ারে?"

“Yes, it is.”

"হ্যাঁ, এটা।"

Okay.

ঠিক আছে.

Now, we’re going to move on to the snakes.

এখন, আমরা সাপের দিকে যেতে যাচ্ছি।

Now, there are…there are more than one, right, so it’s plural, so we say,

এখন, আছে…এখানে একাধিক আছে, ঠিক আছে, তাই এটি বহুবচন, তাই আমরা বলি,

“Are the snakes…” with an ‘s’.

"সর্প কি..." একটি 's' দিয়ে।

Okay.

So again, think.

Is the answer, “Yes, they are.”

“Yes, they are.”

"হ্যা তারা."
