In this video, we’re going to talk about the prepositions: in, on and under.

In questo video parleremo delle preposizioni: in, on e under.

Now, we use prepositions to show ‘where’ something is.

Ora, usiamo le preposizioni per mostrare "dove" si trova qualcosa.

So, let’s take a look at the board.

Quindi, diamo un'occhiata al tabellone.

Okay, now in this picture, we have a cat.

Ok, ora in questa foto abbiamo un gatto.

Okay, and we’re talking about this specific cat, so we have to say, “the cat”.

Ok, e stiamo parlando di questo gatto specifico, quindi dobbiamo dire "il gatto".

Okay. “…is in the box.”

The preposition is ‘in’.

Now we have plural nouns.

“The apples ‘are’…”

Again, the apples are “…’in’ the box.”

You should use the preposition ‘in’.

“Where is the man?”

“The man is ‘under’ the umbrella.”

And last.

Now, we’re going to move on to the snakes.

Passiamo ora ai serpenti.

Now, there are…there are more than one, right, so it’s plural, so we say,

Ora, ce ne sono... ce ne sono più di uno, giusto, quindi è plurale, quindi diciamo:

“Are the snakes…” with an ‘s’.

"Sono i serpenti..." con una 's'.

Okay.

So again, think.
