In this video, we’re going to talk about the prepositions: in, on and under.

આ વિડિયોમાં, અમે પૂર્વનિર્ધારણ વિશે વાત કરવા જઈ રહ્યા છીએ: માં, ચાલુ અને નીચે.

Now, we use prepositions to show ‘where’ something is.

So, let’s take a look at the board.

Okay, now in this picture, we have a cat.

Okay, and we’re talking about this specific cat, so we have to say, “the cat”.

Okay. “…is in the box.”

“The cat is ‘under’…

"બિલાડી ટેબલની નીચે છે...

“…’under’ the table.”

Let’s look at the next one.

ચાલો આગળ જોઈએ.

Now we have plural nouns.

હવે આપણી પાસે બહુવચન સંજ્ઞાઓ છે.

“The apples ‘are’…”

"સફરજન 'છે'..."

Okay. “…in the box.”

ઠીક છે. "...બૉક્સમાં."

Again, the apples are “…’in’ the box.”

ફરીથી, સફરજન "...'બૉક્સમાં" છે.

Next, “The apples are ‘on’ the chair.”

આગળ, "સફરજન 'ખુરશી પર' છે."

And last.

અને છેલ્લા.

“The apples are ‘under’….’under’ the table.”

You should use the preposition ‘in’.

“The dog is ‘in’ the doghouse.

“કૂતરો ડોગહાઉસમાં છે.

“Where is the man?”

"માણસ ક્યાં છે?"

“Where is the man?”

"માણસ ક્યાં છે?"

“The man is ‘under’ the umbrella.”

"માણસ છત્ર હેઠળ છે."

“The man is ‘under’ the umbrella.”

"માણસ છત્ર હેઠળ છે."

And last.

અને છેલ્લા.

“Where are the girls?”

"છોકરીઓ ક્યાં છે?"

“Where are the girls?”

"છોકરીઓ ક્યાં છે?"

“The girls are ‘on’ the bridge.”

"છોકરીઓ પુલ પર છે."

“The girls are ‘on’ the bridge.”

"છોકરીઓ પુલ પર છે."

Okay.

Let’s look at some more examples.

Now, we’re going to practice asking and answering questions using: in, on and under.

First, let’s take a look at this picture.

Let’s start with the rabbit.

“Yes, it is.”

"હા તે છે."

Okay.

બરાબર.

Now, we’re going to move on to the snakes.

હવે, આપણે સાપ તરફ આગળ વધીએ છીએ.

Now, there are…there are more than one, right, so it’s plural, so we say,

હવે, ત્યાં છે…એક કરતાં વધુ છે, ખરું, તેથી તે બહુવચન છે, તેથી આપણે કહીએ છીએ,

“Are the snakes…” with an ‘s’.

"શું સાપ છે..." 's' સાથે.

Okay.

So again, think.
