English fluency رجاءا يا معلمة غابي ساعديني فليبي من البرازيل,حسناً يا فليبي من البرازيل

I would love to help you but technically speaking you can't increase your English fluency. It's just technically impossible

انا مسرورة لمساعدتك, لكن تقنيا لا يمكنك قول increase your English fluency انها جملة من الناحية التقنية مستحيلة

you want to know why let's start right there the difference between

هل تعلم لماذا؟ دعونا نبدأ بطرح الاختلافات التي بين

increase and

increase و

improve

improve

We're going to differentiate these two verbs because they can be used interchangeably

سوف نقوم بالتفريق بين هذين الفعلين لانهما يٌستخدمان بشكل متبادل

But their meanings can also be different and the way that you use it increase your fluency

لكن معناهما يمكن ان يكون مختلف و طريقة قول increase your fluency

It's just not correct. And so we have to take a step back to improve your question before we can answer it. So

هي غير صائبة بالمرة والان سوف نقوم بالرجوع خطوة الى الخلف و نطور من اسألتنا قبل ان نجب عليها. اذن

increase versus improve we can use these in

increase ضد improve يمكننا استخدام هاذين الفعلين

Similar ways they both mean to make better

بطرق متشابهة , كليهما معناهما يجعلون الامر افضل

But one is used to talk about

لكن احدمها يستخدم للتحدث عن

Quantity or numbers and the other is used to talk about

الكمية او الارقام و الاخر يسخدم للتحدث عن

quality or

النوعية او

Feelings so you see they are different

المشاعر, اذن الفوارق قد اتضحت الان

Increase is for numbers and improve is for quality

increase للاعداد و improve للنوعية

Quantity such as the number of vocabulary words, you know, how can I increase my English vocabulary?

الكمية مثل اعداد الصطلحات مثلاً: كيف يمكنني ان ازيد من مفرداتي في الانجليزية؟

improve such as

improve مثلاً

Also, how can I improve my English vocabulary?

ايضا, كيف يمكنني ان احسن من مفرداتي في اللغة الانجليزية

We're talking about the quality of the words that you use now

نحن نتحدث عن نوعية و جودة الكلمات التي تستخدمها الان

Wait a minute didn't I just say that we have to use these verbs differently. Well, yes, but in this situation

لحضة من فضلك! الم تقولي انك سوف نستخدم هذين الفعلين بشكل مختلف. حسناً, نعم, لكن في هذه الحالة

We can use either one of these verbs, but they mean a slightly different thing to

بأمكاننا ان نستخدم كليهما, لكنهما يدلان على اختلاف جداً ضئيل

increase vocabulary means to know a greater number of vocabulary words

بالنسبة للفعلincrease vocabulary معناها ان تتعلم اعداد اكبر من المصطلحات

to improve your vocabulary

لكن بالنسبة لimprove your vocabulary

Means to have a better overall

معناها ان تكون افضل بشكل عام

quality in

و نوعية في

Use perhaps, you know more academic words and you use them better in

استخدامها ربما, ان تعرف اكثر حول المصطلحات الاكاديمية و تستخدمها بشكل افضل

Smarter ways. Perhaps. You don't know as many words as Tom over there

بطرق ذكية.

But you know how to use them much better. And so this begs the age-old question

لكنك تعلم كيفية استخدامها بشكل افضل . و هذا يطرح علينا السؤال التراثي

quality or quantity

النوعية افضل ام

better well

I'll let you be the judge leave your comments and tell me would you rather have a bigger vocabulary?

For example, you can increase your TOEFL score. You may have heard people

على سبيل المثال, بأمكانك ان تزيد من نتيجة فحصك في TOEFL. ربما قد سمعت بأناس

Advertising courses to improve your test score, which is not necessarily incorrect

يوصونك في كورسات لتحسن من نتيجة فحصك, و هذا ليس بالضرورة صحيح

but this does refer to the overall quality of your test scores and not

لكن هذا يشير الى نوعية نتائجك بشكل عام و ليس

Necessarily a number remember when we're talking about a number we want to use the word

بالضرورة ان يكون اعداداً. تذكر عندما كنا نتحدث عن الاعداد في استخدام كلمة

Increase this vocabulary word is all about numbers

increase هذا المصطلح كله حول الاعداد

Increase the number of reps you do at the gym

مثلاً:زيادة عدد رفع الاثقال في الجيم

Improve your test-taking

تحسين خبراتك في الاختبار

Experience increase the number of days you go on vacation

زيادة عدد الايام التب سوف تقضيها في العطلة

improve your

تحسين

Travel experience increase the number of go natural English videos you watch and improve your English fluency

خبراتك في الترحال, زيادة مشاهدتك فيديوات قناة go natural english

increase your sales and improve your job performance increase your applications to

زيادة مبيعاتك, تطوير اداءك في العمل, زيادة تقديماتك

Universities and improve the likelihood that you will be accepted to one

على الجامعات و زيادة احتمالاتك في القبول بواحدة منها

increase the number of times you take a shot and

زيادة فرصك لاخذ الفرصة

Improve the number of times that you will score increase the number of steps. You take each day and improve your health

زيادة فرصك للحصول على العلامة, زيادة خطواتك , انت تتخذ كل يوم لتحسين صحتك

increase the number of vegetables that you and

زيادة اعداد الخضراوات التي تاكلها

improve your diet increase the number of cups of coffee you drink and

و تطور من الحمية , تزيد من اعداد اكواب القهوة التي تشربها و....

Improve I don't know if that actually improves your life but

تحسين.... لا اعلم جديا ما اذا كانت تحسن من حياتك! لكن

It does taste good
