Bonfire Night was started because of a plot

La notte del falò fu istituita per via di un complotto sventato il 5 Novembre del 1605.

that was foiled back in 1605

on November the fifth.

Un gruppo di persone stava macchinando per far saltare in aria il parlamento

A group of people had been plotting

to blow up Parliament

con Re Giacomo all'interno.

with King James inside,

and one of these plotters was called Guy Fawkes.

E uno dei cospiratori si chiamava Guy Fawkes

On the 5th of November he was discovered

Il 5 di Novembre venne scoperto nel sotterraneo della sede del parlamento

in the basement of the Houses of Parliament

with a huge barrel full of gunpowder

con un enorme barile pieno di polvere da sparo

and a fuse ready to be lit.

The guard discovered him, arrested him.

He was tried and found guilty,

after which he was hung, drawn and quartered.

And that is how Bonfire Night began.
