So first things first, let's get you a drink

Oh! sorry what can I get you means

what would you like to drink

in the UK we usually have a selection of beers, ciders, wines

cocktails and spirits

Or would you prefer something non alcoholic, you can have mocktails

can also have juices, soft drinks and bottled water

um... but if you don't want to pay for water you can just ask for

tap water and that's free but if it's

a celebration we Brits like to mark the occasion with some

bubbles or bubbly which refers to champagne or Prosecco

so pop the cork let's fill our glasses

and let's make a toast

a toast is a ritual where a drink is taken as an expression

of goodwill, so here is a toast to you

TO YOU!

in a general drinking situation we don't toast

but cheers

with a fresh drink we clink our glasses together

look each other in the eye and say cheers and then

drink before you put the glass down

CHEERS!

if you're going out out, which means

if you are going on a big night out, then you

probably at some point have a shot

thrust into your hand and you have to down it

at the same time as everybody else

or you may hear this cry

this means that you're supposed to down your drink

in one go

and after that, you are gonna need to use the facilities

or the loo or the toilet

or spend a peny, however you want to say it

hard luck if you're a girl as there is always

a queue

so don't be surprised gentlemen if you see a desperate lady

running into the gens

the ladies' toilet is a hive of activity with women

coming and going

and uhm... that

is not uncommon don't ask me why, but we ladies

like to go in twos, now

the ladies' toilet generally is a place to touch up your makeup

make sure you look fabulous and it's a place of some serious gossip

now, I don't personally know

but I hear that men's toilet is very different

although there is one thing we have in common

and that's this friendly face sitting in the corner

no thank you, be warned that if you

do accept one of this generous gifts

then you will be expected to give a tip

no party is complete without throwing a few shapes

oh! and that means to do some dancing

if you're lucky you might experience some incredible

dancing, just like these guys

but what you'll probably experience is a little bit of

ladies dancing around "handbags" and what

we lovingly called "dad dancing"

as the night moves on, people will inevitably become

more than just tipsy, tipsy means a little bit drunk

but towards the end of the night people are probably going to be

very drunk

now, it depends on the person

but there are lots of different types of drunk, for example

we have: a "happy drunk"

an "aggressive drunk"

the "sleepy drunk"

the "liability"

the "crier"

the "vomiter"

the "flirtatious drunk"

but hopefully no matter how much or how little you've had to drink

you will have an incredible time
