Here is an interesting word that we often use when we are looking back at a certain situation

Ecco una parola interessante che usiamo spesso quando guardiamo indietro a una determinata situazione

or event that happened in the past.

It is often used when we are trying to work out the details of what occurred.

Viene spesso utilizzato quando cerchiamo di elaborare i dettagli di ciò che è accaduto.

The word is hindsight.

La parola è col senno di poi.

The word hindsight refers to the action

of viewing a past event from  an analytic point of view.

To look back at an event or situation that occurred in the past is hindsight.

Guardare indietro a un evento o una situazione avvenuta nel passato è il senno di poi.

Quite often this word is used when we are studying a moment of time when something happened

that created a problem or a negative situation that could have been avoided.

Hindsight often occurs after an accident or an event that could have been prevented.

All of the details of the accident are analysed with the aim of finding out what actually happened

An investigation will normally be carried out as each detail is carefully analysed.
