Do you ever find yourself falling out with someone?

To fall out with someone

means to have a disagreement,

an argument, or some sort of row.

Maybe two people decide

that they don't want to speak to each other ever again.

They fall out with each other.

Quite often a minor disagreement

or a small argument

might build up to something much larger.

You might suddenly find yourself

falling out with your best friend,

or even a member of your own family.

It is possible in all situations

to suddenly find yourself

disagreeing with another person,

especially nowadays

because everyone is so sensitive.

Perhaps you have fallen out with someone recently.

Maybe a friend.

Maybe someone that you no longer

speak to.

Perhaps now is the time

to put that thing right.

There is no need to fall out with anyone.

Sometimes small arguments

or small disagreements can lead

to two people falling out with each other.

Silly, really, isn't it?

Have you ever been in a situation

where you've had to swallow your pride?

You've had to become humble

and admit you were wrong.

Possibly one of the hardest things

for any person to do

is to admit their mistake.

Maybe something you thought you knew,

but you didn't.

Maybe a thing that you corrected another person on.

But later it turns out that you were the person who was wrong.

You have to swallow your pride.

You have to admit that you got it wrong.

I must swallow my pride

and apologise.

You have to admit that you are wrong about something.

You have to admit that you made a mistake.

Possibly to a friend or relative.

Sometimes you might put off swallowing your pride

and admitting your mistake.

You might wait for many days, weeks,

or even years to admit...

that you got it wrong.
