Do you ever get a

tingly feeling in your tummy when you are thinking about things that might happen?

Perhaps you are concerned by a future event?

Or maybe something that hasn't happened yet.

Do you ever get the feeling that something is going to happen?

Do you sometimes feel as if an event is going to occur?

Perhaps the feeling is a good one,

but more often than not, the feeling is not so good.

You might feel apprehension about something that is going to happen.

You are apprehensive.

It is normal to feel nervous or wary

before an important event or situation occurs.

This is human nature.

We might look for signs that something may or may not go well.

We look out for things that might indicate whether or not

something will be successful, or whether it will fail.

We might describe these signs as an omen.

An indication of what might be

can be positive or negative.

A good omen might be the weather being pleasant before going on a trip.

Of course, the opposite could also be true.

Bad weather before a trip might be an indication that things will not go well.

In this case, it would be a bad omen.

It is possible to have a good feeling about something.

Deep down inside.

You have a feeling that something may or may not happen.

We can describe this as a feeling or instinct.

You feel that something is not right.

You have a gut feeling.

Of course, more often than not, these feelings turn out to be false.

You might describe these feelings as part of nature.

The basic need for survival might cause us to feel worried

or anxious about what might happen in the future.

An omen can be described as a sign,

a warning, a message or an indication

that something might go well or go badly.

It is human nature to look for signs.

It is the basis of most beliefs that around us, there are signs that we must look out for and observe.

Of course, some people don't believe in omens or signs or gut feelings.

They just take everything as it comes.

They don't worry about what will happen or might happen.

They just get on with it.
