So today, I'm going to show you 35 phrasal verbs

The first time I laid eyes on Mitchy Dufresne,

I didn’t think highly of him.

He was a strange drink of water,

came across like a stiff  breeze would take him out.

He said it was for carving a  sophisticated board game from stone

He then asked if I could come up with a way to get

Needless to say, I was happy to look into both.

Mitchy got along with the  warden and managed to fall into

a cushty job cleaning and  arranging the wardens office.

I couldn’t work out to this day  what that lady was singing about.

Truth is, I don’t want to know.

I’d like to think they were singing  about something so beautiful,

I managed to see to Mitchy’s requests.

One rock hammer, I could not get  over how small that thing was.

And I did come across a 1969 “Easy Rider” poster.

I told him to watch out in case  the warden caught him with it

‘cos he’d throw it away and then  probably take down the poster,

but it never happened.

Mitchy carved his game in front  of Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper

That time in Shawshank changed ol’ Mitchy.

He later told me he had to either go on or give up

Mitchy never turned up that morning,  much to the wardens discontent.

Mitchy não apareceu naquela manhã, para grande descontentamento dos guardas.

That cell was cleaned up top  to bottom, it didn’t add up.

Essa célula foi limpa de cima para baixo, não somou.

And the only thing left over; “Easy Rider”.

E a única coisa que sobrou; “Cavaleiro Fácil”.

The warden threw Mitchy’s game  and then instantly switched on

O diretor jogou o jogo de Mitchy e instantaneamente ligou

as to what had happened.

What the warden figured  out is that Mitchy Dufresne

O que o diretor descobriu é que Mitchy Dufresne

had broken out of Shawshank  prison the night before.

havia fugido da prisão de Shawshank na noite anterior.

Mitchy had crawled to freedom  through miles of s**t smelling

Mitchy se arrastou para a liberdade através de quilômetros de merda cheirando a

foulness I can’t even imagine,  or maybe I just don’t want to.
