Meaning of HAT HEAD and MESSED UP HAIR - A Short English Lesson with Subtitles

- So we have this funny phrase in English, hat head.

Hat head is what happens to your hair

모자머리는

when you wear a hat for a long time.

모자를 오래 쓰면 머리에 생기는 현상입니다.

So you can see that I'm wearing a hat,

and my hair is getting a little bit long,

머리가 조금씩 길어지고 있어서

so sometimes, when I wear a hat, when I take it off,

my hair looks funny because I have hat head.

So again, wearing a hat doesn't mean you have hat head,

다시 말하지만 모자를 쓴다고 해서 모자 머리가 있는 것이 아니라

but when you take your hat off,

모자를 벗을 때

if your hair is kind of flattened,

머리가 약간 납작하거나

or your hair is sticking up a little bit,

머리가 약간 위로 올라오면

we say that you have hat head.

or when someone actually touches it,

sometimes your hair is messed up.
