Meaning of SPRING BREAK and READING BREAK and MARCH BREAK - A Short English Lesson with Subtitles

- So as many of you know,

and right now, as of right now it is spring break,

spring break is a break that we take from teaching,

it's a break that students get in the spring every year,

and it lasts about one week,

so the way you talk about spring break,

is you say that you are on spring break,

you don't say that you're taking a spring break,

you simply say that you are on spring break,

typically, people travel during spring break,

보통 봄방학에 여행가는 사람들이

usually there are a lot of travelers during spring break,

많은데

but this year,

올해는 봄방학에 수학여행을 가는

there aren't as many people traveling as you would think,

사람들이 생각보다 많지 않아

many school trips during the spring break this year

have been canceled, due to the COVID-19 virus,

COVID-19 바이러스로 인해

many people are simply staying home,

많은 사람들이 단순히 집에 머물고 있습니다.

Jen and I don't usually go anywhere during spring break,

we usually have lots of work to do here on the farm,
