Meaning of GOT ME THINKING - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

So the other day I was having a conversation with Jen about exercise.

So the phrase, "got me thinking", refers to when one idea causes you to have another idea.

And we could say that, "Jen got me thinking about my diet."
