Did you know?

More than 97% of British people don't speak with RP.

And Cockney is fine, but again, kind of extreme.

So trust me,

it would sound really weird

if you try to change your accent to either of these.

So you like the British accent,

you want to sound like British people.

That's awesome!

I am a British people!

Person.

But you don't have to have a Cockney accent

or a posh accent to sound natural.

No, the truth is real British pronunciation

is somewhere in the middle.

There are specific characteristics of British pronunciation

which we all use, but we just choose parts that we like

and create our own style.

For example, I was born in London.

I live in London.

But the way I speak

doesn't sound the same as even my neighbor.
