There are lots of uncountable nouns that are very,

very common in IELTS speaking topics

and that most students put into the plural

because probably in your own language,

it exists in the plural, right?

For example furniture,

there's lots of furniture.

And I say, "No, there's not.

And my clue is the mistake is around the word

We never say, how long the time, right?

It's just how long.

I know how long can mean distance as well

but because of the context, it's clear

how long have you lived here, do not say time.

In the first one, how many time?

Time, of course, right, is uncountable (laughs)
