square of much Wenlock here in England.

It is the day of the Christmas fair.

And right now down there, there is some traditional

Morris dancing taking place.

The Morris dancers are dancing around.

And this tradition of Morris dancing goes back.

Well, I think it's over maybe 200 years.

It's a very old tradition from the days

of pagan beliefs.

Actually, I hope you can hear us all right.

That's the first thing I have to make sure you can hear is okay.

It's very noisy here, as you may be able to hear.

Every year they hold a special celebration

to welcome the Christmas season and today

they have something extra special because we are here talking to you ladies.

For some reason I think all of the rain has got into them

and has destroyed them.

So I'm a little bit jealous of the Christmas lights here because they are new

and they are rather nice even in daylight.

Yes, this is the place where the modern Olympic Games

began a very long time ago.

the modern Olympic Games were introduced

because here in much Wenlock they have
