Learn the English Phrases COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK and COME ALIVE

In this English lesson I wanted to help you

이번 영어 수업에서 나는 당신이

learn the English phrase, come out of the woodwork.

영어 표현인 come out of the woodwork를 배우는 것을 돕고 싶었습니다.

This is what people do after you win the lottery.

복권에 당첨된 후 사람들이 하는 일입니다.

They come out of the woodwork.

그들은 목공에서 나옵니다.

This is a phrase that means that people show up,

이것은 사람이 나타나

or it could be animals, or something else,

거나 동물이나 다른 것이 될 수

but things show up, people show up

있지만

after something good has happened to you.

좋은 일이 일어난 후에 사람들이 나타난다는 것을 의미하는 문구입니다.

Here's a good example, we'll talk about the lottery.

If you won the lottery,

I'm sure that people would come out of the woodwork.

Friends that you haven't seen for years,

I think this phrase is similar

The second phrase I wanted to teach you today

is the phrase, to come alive.

People come alive when,

if they normally don't do a lot of things

평소에 많은 일을 하지 않다가

where there's a lot of activity

and then suddenly do them.

A good example would be this,

좋은 예가 이것입니다.

when I was a kid, I had a little fish,

so it can be more than just people,

I had a fish in a fish bowl,

and it would kinda swim around slowly until I fed it,

Sometimes, I've noticed at wedding receptions,

So anyways, to review, when people come out of the woodwork,

usually after something good has happened to you.

I think if you were to become the mayor of your town,
