Learn the English Phrase FOR THE BIRDS and the Term BIRDBRAIN

I wanted to help you learn the English phrase for the birds.

새에 대한 영어 표현을 배우는 데 도움을 드리고 싶었습니다.

When we say something is for the birds,

우리가 새들을 위한 것이라고 말할 때

we mean that it's useless, or that it has no worth.

우리는 그것이 쓸모없다 거나 가치가 없다는 것을 의미합니다.

I guess I could say that it's worthless.

무가치하다고 말할 수 있을 것 같습니다.

When you say, hey, that English lesson the other day,

저번에 그 영어 수업은

that was for the birds.

새들을 위한 거였어.

That would mean that you thought the English lesson

그것은 당신이 영어 수업이

wasn't very good, it wasn't very valuable,

그다지 좋지 않고, 그다지 가치가 없고,

you didn't get a lot out of it.

It's not a nice thing to say necessarily

when you say something is for the birds,

The other phrase or term I wanted to teach you today

is the term birdbrain.

This is something that means that someone isn't very smart.

이것은 누군가가 그다지 똑똑하지 않다는 것을 의미합니다.

You could say that birdbrain

birdbrain은

means that you are dumb or stupid.

당신이 멍청하거나 어리석다는 것을 의미한다고 말할 수 있습니다.

I usually use this word to talk about myself.

나는 보통 나 자신에 대해 이야기할 때 이 단어를 사용합니다.

The other day, I lost my keys,

and I'm such a birdbrain,

my keys ended up being in my coat pocket.
