Meaning of CHECK IT OUT and TO CHECK SOMEONE OUT - A Short English Lesson with Subtitles

So in English, when we say, "Check it out,"

we are saying, "Hey, look at this."

I could say, "Check it out, I'm wearing a jacket today

"because it's just a little bit warmer out

"than it was yesterday."

I could say, "Check it out, I'm not sure

"if you can see them, check it out,

"there are geese across the river."

Can you see them?

Just by that tree there, there are some geese, check it out.

So in English, when you say, "Check it out,"

you're basically saying to the person,

"Look at this," or, "Look here."

If I was to get a new haircut,

I could go to work the next day, if I was going to work,

and I could say, "Hey check it out, I got a new haircut."

So basically, any time you say, "Check it out," in English,

you are asking people to look at stuff.

I could say, "Check it out, the lawn is nice and green.

"Check it out, the river is flowing by

"really nicely right now."

So, when you say, "Check it out,"

you are saying to a person, "Hey, look at this,"

or, "Look over here."

Now, you need to be a little bit careful though.

When you check somebody out, or when you check someone out,

it means that you are looking at them

because you find them attractive.

So if you are out and you see a person

who you think is very, very attractive,

you could check them out.

When you check someone out, it means you look at them

because you find them attractive.

I don't wanna explain too much more

because I'm starting to get embarrassed,

but when you check someone out

it means that you look at them from head to toe

because you find them very, very attractive.

So, when you say, "Check it out," you are merely saying

to someone that they should look at something

that you find interesting

and when you check someone out it means you look at them

because you find them very, very attractive.
