Meaning of HAPPY THANKSGIVING! - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

Well, happy Thanksgiving.

It is Thanksgiving day here in Canada,

and the phrase that we use to wish someone

a good Thanksgiving day is, "Happy Thanksgiving."

So, happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

This is a weekend where the Monday, today, is a holiday.

So that's kinda fun.

And we generally spend time with family.

And we usually get together and have a meal.

We went and had a meal with Jen's family.

This past Saturday, we had turkey, we had stuffing,

we had mashed potatoes, and some vegetables.

Kind of a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

So, it's a great weekend.

It's a time to talk about the things

that we are thankful for.

I am thankful for a lot of things,

but mostly I am thankful for all of you,

that watch my videos every day.

You guys are awesome, so thank you very much.

I hope that you are learning a lot of English,

and I hope that you have a really, really good day today.

So on Thanksgiving, we generally eat a meal,

and I said that we had turkey.

Generally we have turkey, sometimes we have ham.

And usually Jen and I end up eating

two Thanksgiving dinners.

I actually have another Thanksgiving dinner coming up

next weekend with my family.

My older brother decided that next weekend

was a better weekend for him to come down.

He lives way up north in Canada,

so he'll be down next weekend

and together we will have a Thanksgiving dinner.

So, one Thanksgiving dinner done,

one Thanksgiving dinner to go,

and it should be a fun time.
