In today's video, I'm going to talk to you about adverbs of manner.

في فيديو اليوم ، سأتحدث إليكم عن ظروف الأسلوب.

Adverbs of manner tell you how something happens.

أحوال الطريقة تخبرك كيف يحدث شيء ما.

And they're usually placed after the main verb or after its object.

وعادة ما يتم وضعها بعد الفعل الرئيسي أو بعد المفعول به.

Let's take a look at a few sentences.

دعنا نلقي نظرة على بضع جمل.

‘He swims well.’

- يسبح جيداً.

The adverb ‘well’ tells you how he swims and is placed after the main verb ‘swims’.

يخبرك ظرف "حسن" كيف يسبح ويوضع بعد الفعل الرئيسي "يسبح".

‘He plays the piano beautifully.’

"إنه يعزف على البيانو بشكل جميل."

The adverb ‘beautifully’ tells you how he plays the piano

يخبرك الظرف "جميل" كيف يعزف على البيانو

and is placed after the piano which is the object of the verb to play.

ويوضع بعد البيانو الذي هو هدف الفعل الذي يعزف عليه.

Let's get into more detail now.

Adverbs of manner are usually placed after the main verb or after the objects.

عادة ما يتم وضع ظروف الأسلوب بعد الفعل الرئيسي أو بعد الأشياء.

For example, ‘He left the room quickly.’

على سبيل المثال ، "لقد غادر الغرفة بسرعة".

The adverb ‘quickly’ is placed after the object, ‘the room’.

يتم وضع الظرف "بسرعة" بعد الكائن "الغرفة". الآن فقط كما تعلم ،

Now just so you know, some adverbs not all of them,

يمكن أيضًا وضع بعض الظروف ، وليس جميعها ،

but some adverbs, can also be placed before the verb.

So in this case, you can also say,

لذا في هذه الحالة ، يمكنك أيضًا أن تقول ،

‘He quickly left the room.’

What's very important for you to know is that an adverb of manner cannot come between a

ما يهمك أن تعرفه هو أن ظرف الأسلوب لا يمكن أن يأتي بين

verb and its direct object.

الفعل والمفعول به المباشر.

Okay, so it must be placed either before the main verb,

حسنًا ، لذلك يجب وضعها إما قبل الفعل الرئيسي

or after at the end of the clause.

أو بعده في نهاية الجملة.

So let's take a look at a few examples.

لذلك دعونا نلقي نظرة على بعض الأمثلة.

‘He ate quickly his dinner.’

- أكل بسرعة عشاءه.

Now this sentence is incorrect.

الآن هذه الجملة غير صحيحة.

Okay?

تمام؟

‘ate’ is the verb.

"أكل" هو الفعل.

‘his dinner’ is the direct object of the verb.

"عشاءه" هو المفعول المباشر للفعل.

So the adverb ‘quickly’ cannot be placed between those two.

لذلك لا يمكن وضع الظرف "بسرعة" بين هذين.

Okay?

So you should say, ‘He ate his dinner quickly.’

تمام؟

لذلك يجب أن تقول: "لقد أكل عشاءه بسرعة".

The adverb is at the end and that's correct.

الظرف في النهاية وهذا صحيح.

Or ‘He quickly ate his dinner.’

أو "سرعان ما أكل عشاءه".

That's also correct.

هذا صحيح أيضًا.

The adverb is placed before the main verb.

يتم وضع الظرف قبل الفعل الرئيسي.

Another example,

مثال آخر ،

‘He gave me gently a hug.’

"عانقني بلطف".

Now this is incorrect.

الآن هذا غير صحيح.

You cannot separate the verb ‘give’ from its direct object ‘a hug’.

لا يمكنك فصل الفعل "تعطي" عن مفعولها المباشر "عناق".

So two correct sentences would be first,

لذا فإن الجملتين الصحيحتين هي الأولى ،

‘He gave me a hug gently.’

"لقد عانقني بلطف".

with the adverb at the end of the sentence.

مع الظرف في نهاية الجملة.

Or

أو

‘He gently gave me a hug.’

"عانقني بلطف".

The adverb comes before the verb.

يأتي الظرف قبل الفعل.

عانقني بلطف ، وعانقني

‘He gently gave me a hug.’

Time now to practice.

Here are a few example sentences for you to spot the adverbs of manner.

فيما يلي بعض الأمثلة على الجمل لتتمكن من تحديد أحوال الأسلوب.

‘He swam well.’

"لقد سبح جيدا".

As you can see, we use the adverb ‘well’.

كما ترى ، فإننا نستخدم الظرف "حسنًا".

It tells you how he swam,

يخبرك كيف سبح ، ويتم

And it's placed after the main verb, ‘swam’.

وضعه بعد الفعل الرئيسي ، "سبح".

‘The rain felt hard.’

"شعرت المطر بقسوة".

Again, our adverb ‘hard’ tells you how the rain fell,

مرة أخرى ، يخبرك ظرفنا "صعب" كيف سقط المطر ،

And is placed after the verb.

ويوضع بعد الفعل.

‘The children were playing happily.’

"كان الأطفال يلعبون بسعادة."

The adverb is…

الظرف…

Can you find it?

هل تجده؟

‘happily’.

'بسعادة'.

Of course.

بالطبع.

‘She angrily slammed the door.’

"أغلقت الباب بغضب".

Can you see the adverb?

هل تستطيع رؤية الظرف؟

It's ‘angrily’.

إنه "بغضب".

How did she slam the door?

كيف أغلقت الباب؟

‘angrily’.

'بغضب'.

And finally,

وأخيرًا ،

‘Slowly she picked up the flower.’

"التقطت الزهرة ببطء".

Can you spot the adverb of manner?

هل يمكنك اكتشاف ظرف الأسلوب؟

It's ‘slowly’.

إنه "بطيء".

And it's at the beginning of the sentence, Because we want to emphasize the manner.

وهي في بداية الجملة ، لأننا نريد التأكيد على الطريقة.

And this is also something very common when you read books.

وهذا أيضًا شيء شائع جدًا عند قراءة الكتب.
