In today's video, I'm going to talk to you about adverbs of manner.

আজকের ভিডিওতে, আমি আপনাদের সাথে ক্রিয়াবিশেষণ সম্পর্কে কথা বলতে যাচ্ছি।

Adverbs of manner tell you how something happens.

পদ্ধতির ক্রিয়া বিশেষণ আপনাকে বলে যে কীভাবে কিছু ঘটে।

And they're usually placed after the main verb or after its object.

এবং তারা সাধারণত প্রধান ক্রিয়া বা এর বস্তুর পরে স্থাপন করা হয়।

Let's take a look at a few sentences.

আসুন কয়েকটি বাক্য দেখে নেওয়া যাক।

‘He swims well.’

'সে ভালো সাঁতার কাটে।'

The adverb ‘well’ tells you how he swims and is placed after the main verb ‘swims’.

'ভাল' ক্রিয়া বিশেষণটি আপনাকে বলে যে সে কীভাবে সাঁতার কাটে এবং প্রধান ক্রিয়াপদ 'সাঁতার' এর পরে স্থাপন করা হয়।

‘He plays the piano beautifully.’

'সে সুন্দর পিয়ানো বাজায়।'

The adverb ‘beautifully’ tells you how he plays the piano

'সুন্দরভাবে' ক্রিয়া বিশেষণটি আপনাকে বলে যে সে কীভাবে পিয়ানো বাজায় এবং পিয়ানোর

and is placed after the piano which is the object of the verb to play.

পরে স্থাপন করা হয় যা ক্রিয়াপদের বস্তু বাজাতে হয়।

Let's get into more detail now.

Adverbs of manner are usually placed after the main verb or after the objects.

ক্রিয়াবিশেষণগুলি সাধারণত প্রধান ক্রিয়ার পরে বা বস্তুর পরে স্থাপন করা হয়।

For example, ‘He left the room quickly.’

যেমন, 'তিনি তাড়াতাড়ি ঘর ছেড়ে চলে গেলেন।'

The adverb ‘quickly’ is placed after the object, ‘the room’.

ক্রিয়াবিশেষণ 'দ্রুত' বস্তুর পরে বসানো হয়, 'ঘর'।

Now just so you know, some adverbs not all of them,

এখন শুধু তাই আপনি জানেন, কিছু ক্রিয়াবিশেষণ তাদের সব না,

but some adverbs, can also be placed before the verb.

কিন্তু কিছু বিশেষণ, এছাড়াও ক্রিয়াপদের আগে স্থাপন করা যেতে পারে.

So in this case, you can also say,

সুতরাং এই ক্ষেত্রে, আপনি এটাও বলতে পারেন,

‘He quickly left the room.’

'তিনি দ্রুত ঘর থেকে বেরিয়ে গেছেন।'

Let's practice pronunciation.

What's very important for you to know is that an adverb of manner cannot come between a

verb and its direct object.

মধ্যে আসতে পারে না

Okay, so it must be placed either before the main verb,

। ঠিক আছে, তাই এটি অবশ্যই প্রধান ক্রিয়ার আগে

or after at the end of the clause.

বা ধারার শেষে স্থাপন করতে হবে।

So let's take a look at a few examples.

তাই কয়েকটা উদাহরণ দেখে নেওয়া যাক।

‘He ate quickly his dinner.’

'সে তাড়াতাড়ি রাতের খাবার খেয়ে নিল।'

Now this sentence is incorrect.

এখন এই বাক্যটি ভুল।

Okay?

ঠিক আছে?

‘ate’ is the verb.

'ate' হল ক্রিয়া।

‘his dinner’ is the direct object of the verb.

'তার ডিনার' হল ক্রিয়ার সরাসরি বস্তু।

So the adverb ‘quickly’ cannot be placed between those two.

তাই ক্রিয়াবিশেষণ 'দ্রুত' দুটির মধ্যে স্থাপন করা যাবে না।

Okay?

So you should say, ‘He ate his dinner quickly.’

ঠিক আছে?

তাই আপনার বলা উচিত, 'তিনি তাড়াতাড়ি তার রাতের খাবার খেয়েছেন।'

The adverb is at the end and that's correct.

ক্রিয়াবিশেষণটি শেষে এবং এটি সঠিক।

Or ‘He quickly ate his dinner.’

অথবা 'তিনি দ্রুত রাতের খাবার খেয়েছেন।'

That's also correct.

এটাও সঠিক।

The adverb is placed before the main verb.

ক্রিয়াবিশেষণটি প্রধান ক্রিয়ার পূর্বে স্থাপন করা হয়।

Another example,

আরেকটি উদাহরণ,

‘He gave me gently a hug.’

'তিনি আমাকে আলতো করে আলিঙ্গন করলেন।'

Now this is incorrect.

এখন এটা ভুল।

You cannot separate the verb ‘give’ from its direct object ‘a hug’.

আপনি 'দেওয়া' ক্রিয়াটিকে এর সরাসরি বস্তু 'আলিঙ্গন' থেকে আলাদা করতে পারবেন না।

So two correct sentences would be first,

তাই দুটি সঠিক বাক্য প্রথম হবে,

‘He gave me a hug gently.’

'তিনি আমাকে আলতো করে আলিঙ্গন করলেন।'

with the adverb at the end of the sentence.

বাক্যের শেষে ক্রিয়াবিশেষণ সহ।

Or

অথবা

‘He gently gave me a hug.’

'তিনি আলতো করে আমাকে আলিঙ্গন করলেন।'

The adverb comes before the verb.

ক্রিয়ার পূর্বে ক্রিয়াপদটি আসে।

‘He gently gave me a hug.’

'তিনি আলতো করে আমাকে আলিঙ্গন করলেন।'

Here are a few example sentences for you to spot the adverbs of manner.

পদ্ধতির ক্রিয়াবিশেষণ চিহ্নিত করার জন্য এখানে কয়েকটি উদাহরণ বাক্য রয়েছে।

‘He swam well.’

'সে ভালো সাঁতার কাটে।'

As you can see, we use the adverb ‘well’.

আপনি দেখতে পাচ্ছেন, আমরা 'ভাল' ক্রিয়া বিশেষণ ব্যবহার করি।

It tells you how he swam,

এটি আপনাকে বলে যে সে কীভাবে সাঁতার কাটে,

And it's placed after the main verb, ‘swam’.

এবং এটি মূল ক্রিয়াপদ 'swam'-এর পরে স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।

‘The rain felt hard.’

Again, our adverb ‘hard’ tells you how the rain fell,

And is placed after the verb.

‘The children were playing happily.’

Can you find it?

Can you see the adverb?

It's ‘angrily’.

And finally,

Can you spot the adverb of manner?

It's ‘slowly’.

And it's at the beginning of the sentence, Because we want to emphasize the manner.
