Being new to a place or a social  situation can be quite scary,

But, you can use that to your advantage.  Start the conversation by saying you are

Most people like to feel helpful and this  can be your hook to engage in a conversation.

By the way, did you notice that you  don't necessarily need to say and answer

"Nice to meet you" with "Nice to meet you, too."?

Here I used nice meeting you and the answer was  likewise. This means, "I feel the same way".

Next, let's look at the pronunciation  of "Do you know the area well?".

다음으로 '그 지역을 잘 아십니까?'의 발음을 살펴보겠습니다.

Here you can reduce the word do and you  to [do-ya] or just [ja]. Try it with me

여기에서 do와 you를 [do-ya] 또는 [ja]로 줄일 수 있습니다. 저와 함께 해보세요 자

ja-know the area well?

Great! Now, in the next part there are many  words you can reduce to sound more natural.

Now, remember that having a conversation  is like playing table tennis.

The ball goes back and forth  from one player to another.

The best way to keep a conversation going  is by answering questions confidently.

What would you answer if I asked  you What brings you to the US? or  

묻는다면 뭐라고 대답하시겠습니까 ? 또는

Are you enjoying yourself so far? I am going to help you with these two

very common conversational questions.  Let's start with the pronunciation.

매우 일반적인 대화 질문에 대해 도와드리겠습니다. 발음부터 시작하겠습니다.

What brings you to the US? Notice that I emphasized What, bring and US.

당신을 미국에 데려온 이유는 무엇입니까? 내가 무엇을 가져오고 미국을 강조했는지 주목하십시오.

These are the essential  words in the question. Also,  

다음은 질문의 필수 단어입니다. 또한

you are going to connect you  to brings -> [bring -zuh]

brbrbrbr-> [bring -zuh]’로 연결하게 됩니다.

All the other words will be reduced and  you are barely going to pronounce them.

Let's try it. What brings you to the US?

Nice job! This question is similar  to Why are you visiting the US

or What's the reason for your visit?

또는 방문 이유가 무엇입니까?와 비슷합니다.

There are different ways you  can answer it. You could say:

다양한 방법으로 답할 수 있습니다.

"I'm on vacation" or "I'm going to school  here" or even "I'm visiting a relative" .

"I'm on vacation", "I'm going to school here" 또는 심지어 "I'm going to 방문 친척" 과 같이 말할 수 있습니다.

The next question is Are you  enjoying yourself so far?

다음 질문은 지금까지 즐거우셨습니까?입니다.

So far means "up until this moment".  That is, the person wants to know  

지금까지는 "이 순간까지"를 의미합니다. 즉, 그 사람은

your experience up to that  moment of your conversation.

대화의 그 순간까지의 경험을 알고 싶어합니다.

One way of answering this question and sounding  more advanced is by using the present perfect:

You can say: "It's been so much  fun so far" or "It's been quite  

"It's been so much fun so far" 또는 "It's been 꽤

challenging" >>>

Now, before we continue, I want you  to imagine that you have really just
