yeah hi Chris I have just arrived  from my trip to Cancun it was awesome

cool I didn't know you traveled  to Cancun how was it tell me

it was amazing I didn't tell you anything  because my father surprised us with that trip

I think that's great your family always  travel last time you went to France didn't you

yeah and it was awesome too you should go  there sometime you will love it for sure

yeah I would like to go there with my  family too but now we are having a barbecue

yes I see you always have barbecue  on Sundays that's like her routine

well it's our family's routine today  we have grilled chicken and pork

why don't you stay you can bring your  mom and your dad to have lunch with us

I can't I'm sorry we're going to go to  a fancy restaurant we don't like cooking

we don't like to cook or to make this  barbecue we prefer to go out and have fun

I'm gonna tell you about my family's routine  we do a lot of things and during the week

vou contar um pouco da rotina da minha familia fazemos varias coisas e durante a semana

on Mondays we go to an Indian restaurant  the food is awesome we love it

on Tuesdays my father usually takes us to the  movies we like going to the movies together

last Tuesday we saw a horror movie  we got scared and did you see it

no I didn't we don't usually go to the  movies instead we watch movies here on home

my father arrives from work and we make  popcorn my mom bakes some chocolate cookies

she makes the best cookies in the city  we make pizza too well my mom makes it

how boring how can you make your own pizza  why don't you just call and order one

well we could do that but we like to make  our own pizza I mean it's funny for us

if you say so my mom never Cooks she  doesn't like it we usually order pizza

se você diz isso minha mãe nunca cozinha ela não gosta nós geralmente pedimos pizza

I think it's more delicious you can choose the  toppings and the kind of pizza I like vegetarian  

acho que é mais gostoso você pode escolher os recheios e o tipo de pizza eu gosto de vegetariana

me too I love it but we make it here  at home then we watch a movie on our TV  

eu também adoro mas a gente faz aqui em casa depois a gente assiste um filme na nossa tv

that's so boring anyway I was telling  you about oh Wednesday yeah on Wednesday

que é tão chato de qualquer jeito eu tava te falando oh quarta sim na quarta

we usually go to the theater there we see a play  with different artists I mean actors and actresses  

geralmente vamos ao cinema lá a gente vê uma peça com vários artistas quer dizer atores e atrizes

at the beginning it was boring to me but then I  came to like the theater it's very interesting

no começo pra mim era chato mas depois passei a gostar de teatro é muito interessante

nice I have never gone to the theater  but will love watching shows on TV

legal nunca fui ao teatro mas vou adorar ver programas na tv

my dad loves watching documentaries about  animals planets nature and those kind of things

meu pai adora assistindo documentários sobre animais, planetas, natureza e esse tipo de coisa

and we just join him while watching it  we usually discuss about different things

e nós apenas nos juntamos a ele enquanto assistimos, geralmente discutimos sobre coisas

I love that activity because it's a special  time for my father and me we share a lot

again boring you should go to the theater  it's amazing not only watch documentaries

yeah I mean we could go but we prefer to  stay at home we love watching those programs

if you say so well on Thursdays we go  to a club there we play tennis and golf

se me dizes bem às quintas vamos a um clube lá jogamos ténis e golfe

it has a huge restaurant where I can  order whatever I want the food is amazing

tem um restaurante enorme onde eu posso pedir o que eu quiser a comida é incrível

we played there for hours and then we play 3D  video games they are virtual reality it's awesome  

jogamos lá por horas e depois jogamos videogame 3D eles são realidade virtual é incrível

that sounds really good we don't go to  play video games or tennis or golf but  

parece muito bom não vamos jogar videogame ou tênis ou golfe mas

we play soccer here our garden is big  enough to play soccer we play together

my mom is the goalkeeper and my dad and  I tried to score goals it's really funny

and we also play charades at home  and sometimes we play Pictionary

last Thursday we stayed up the  whole night playing Pictionary

we usually bet things for example if you lose  you have to wash the dishes the next morning

we try not to lose to avoid doing chores my  father always wins he's good at those games

tentamos não perder para evitar fazer as tarefas o meu pai ganha sempre ele é bom nesses jogos

I don't like playing those games they are  boring on Fridays we go to the beach South Beach  

não gosto de jogar esses jogos são aborrecidos à sexta-feira nós vamos para a praia South Beach

because my father goes out earlier from work  you can pick up us and then we go to the beach

porque meu pai sai mais cedo do trabalho você pode nos pegar e depois vamos para a praia

we don't like going to the beach we have a pool  here we prefer to stay here and swim on the pool

nós não gostamos de ir para a praia nós temos uma piscina aqui nós preferimos ficar aqui e nadar

well on Saturdays we go shopping we  sometimes go to the mall or any store

bem na piscina aos sábados vamos às compras às vezes vamos ao shopping ou qualquer loja

there we eat some fast food and we buy some  clothes last time we bought new sneakers

lá comemos algum fast food e compramos algumas roupas última vez compramos tênis novos

I also go to the mall but we go there  to buy groceries at the supermarket

eu também vou ao shopping mas vamos lá fazer compras no supermercado

you do the shopping that's boring we order all  those things and they bring it to our house

você faz o fazer compras isso é aborrecido pedimos todas essas coisas e eles trazem-nos para casa

we like to shop we usually buy new  ingredients to make some new dishes

gostamos de fazer compras costumamos comprar novos ingredientes para fazer novos pratos

yeah I see well and on Sundays we  travel to some place out of the city  

sim eu vejo bem e aos domingos nós viajamos para algum lugar fora da cidade

we visited new beaches tourist places  some new clubs or hotels it's amazing

nós visitamos novas praias lugares turísticos alguns novos clubes ou hotéis é incrível

but you don't know that you just stay  home every day the whole day that's boring

mas você não sabe que você só fica em casa todos os dias o dia inteiro isso é chato

it's better to go out no new places buy  new things eat in different restaurants

é melhor sair sem lugares novos comprar coisas novas comer em restaurantes diferentes

but I like spending time with my family  here at home we have a great time together

mas gosto de passar o tempo com minha família aqui em casa nos divertimos muito juntos

I don't think so but I don't understand you  have money I mean your family is not poor

acho que não mas não entendo você tem dinheiro quero dizer sua família não Pobre

you could go anywhere if you wanted to but  you prefer to stay at home my family is  

você poderia ir a qualquer lugar se quisesse mas prefere ficar em casa minha família é

better than yours hey bud why are we fighting  you spend a lot of time with your family right

melhor que a sua ei cara por que estamos brigando você passa muito tempo com sua família né

and I also spend time with my family  we have fun together and you too

e eu também passo tempo com minha família nos divertimos juntos e você também

that's the important thing some like to  go out and some don't what is the matter

the important is that we have a beautiful  family in our own way don't you think

problema ?

yeah you're probably right there are many  families that don't even spend time together
