"John just called off", okay?

"John just called off the webinar" means the same thing as "cancelled it".

Number two, "Mary fell asleep while studying."

Numéro deux : « Marie s’est endormie pendant qu’elle étudiait. »

Which of those four phrasal verbs?

How do we say that with the phrasal verb?

« Désolé, je dois me dépêcher. »

Yes, I heard you.

Oui, je t'ai entendu.

Good, you've got it.

Bien, tu l'as.

And so, the last one is number four, "We decided to delay moving to New York."

Et donc, le dernier est le numéro quatre : « Nous avons décidé de retarder notre déménagement à New York. »

So, the answer would be, "We decided to hold off on moving to New York."

La réponse serait donc : « Nous avons décidé de reporter notre déménagement à New York. »

To hold off, meaning to delay.

Retenir, c'est-à-dire retarder.

Number five, "The union ended talks with the management."

We have to change the tense because of the sentence.

Number six, "They'll deliver the order by 8 o'clock."

Numéro six : « Ils livreront la commande à 8 heures. »

They will drop off, right?

Ils vont tomber, n'est-ce pas ?

They'll drop off the order by 8 o'clock.

Number seven, "I'll go briefly to the mall later."

And therefore, the last one is, "Unfortunately,
