YOU is an interesting word in fast speech

YOU는

because it can change in more than one way.

한 가지 이상의 방식으로 바뀔 수 있기 때문에 빠른 말하기에서 흥미로운 단어입니다.

In fast speech, YOU might sound like YA.

빠른 연설에서 YOU는 YA처럼 들릴 수 있습니다.

As in, "Ya know what?"

"야 그거 알아?"

Or it might sound like I'm dropping the vowel sound altogether,

또는 내가 모음 소리를 완전히 삭제하고

and I'm left with a Y sound.../y/...Y'know what?

Y 소리만 남게 되는 것처럼 들릴 수도 있습니다.../y/...그거 알아요?

The contraction YOU'RE can reduce to YER.

축약 YOU'RE는 YER로 줄일 수 있습니다.

You're (yer) right.

당신 말이 맞아요.

And the possessive adjective YOUR

그리고 소유 형용사 YOUR는

will do the same exact thing, as in, "What's your name?"

"What's your name?"에서와 똑같은 일을 할 것입니다.

The T and D sounds before the word "you"

"you"라는 단어 앞의 T와 D 소리는

change in different ways.

다른 방식으로 바뀝니다.

T before "you" can sound like "chu" in fast speech.

"you" 앞의 T는 빠른 말에서 "chu"처럼 들릴 수 있습니다.

As in... can't you / won't you / don't you

에서와 같이... can't you / won't you / don't you

D before "you" in fast speech may sound like "ju"... a J sound.

D 앞에 있는 "you"는 빠른 말에서 "ju"처럼 들릴 수 있습니다... J 소리.

As in... how did you / where did you

How did you / where did you

"You" can be said different ways in fast speech.

"You"는 빠른 말에서 다른 방식으로 말할 수 있습니다.

Many people reduce it with a simple scwha.

많은 사람들이 간단한 scwha로 그것을 줄입니다.

So T + "you" can sound like "cha."

따라서 T + "you"는 "cha"처럼 들릴 수 있습니다.

Don't you...don'tcha...Don'tcha know?

당신은...하지마...몰라?

D + "you" could sound like "ja."

D + "you"는 "ja"처럼 들릴 수 있습니다.

Where did you...wheredidja

당신은 어디에서...어디서

Or even "where'dja"...Where didja go? Where'dja go?

또는 "where'dja"...어디로 갔습니까? 어디가?

Note that similar changes happen with YOUR/YOU'RE.

유사한 변경 사항이 YOUR/YOU'RE에서도 발생합니다.

So listen how the T and D change as I read these sentences.

However, many people would choose to read

This would actually be my preference.

I think the "thatcher" variation sounds more informal

and much more relaxed. I would use the glottal stop.
