If You Don't Love to Read, Here's What You Need to Do

I was lucky. My father read books  to me when I was a little kid,

um, growing up, and I can I remember those  times with him. I also had experiences where,  

ehm, crescevo, e ricordo quei momenti con lui. Ho anche avuto esperienze in cui,

um, on a few occasions, I read  a book that I couldn't put down.  

ehm, in alcune occasioni, ho letto un libro che non riuscivo a mettere giù.

Um ,and it was just lucky, you know.  I just picked up this book and, okay,  

Ehm, ed è stata solo una fortuna, sai. Ho appena preso in mano questo libro e, okay,

I'll just start reading and then next thing you  know it's, like, three in the morning and I can't  

inizierò a leggere e poi la prossima cosa che sai sono, tipo, le tre del mattino e non riesco   a

stop reading it! And some people have a name for  that. They actually call it a "home run book." Um,  

smettere di leggerlo! E alcune persone hanno un nome per questo. In realtà lo chiamano un "libro casalingo". Ehm,

and I guess I would just say, you know, a home run  is a baseball term, right? So, when you hit a home  

e immagino che direi solo, sai, un fuoricampo è un termine da baseball, giusto? Quindi, quando fai un

run and you hit it hit the ball out of the park  and everybody goes, "Yay!" It's a highlight of  

fuoricampo   e lo fai colpire la palla fuori dal parco e tutti dicono "Yay!" È un momento clou del

baseball. Like, if you don't know about baseball.  You could, you could change maybe the language how  

baseball. Ad esempio, se non conosci il baseball. Potresti, potresti forse cambiare la lingua come

you say...and say, " don't like to read" and then  "yet." Put the "yet" in there and then believe  

dici... e dire "non mi piace leggere" e poi "ancora". Metti "ancora" lì dentro e poi credi

that somewhere out there, there's a home run  book or a home run story waiting for you to read.

che da qualche parte là fuori ci sia un libro di home run o una storia di home run che ti aspetta di leggere.
