So, when it comes to the past, there are,

there are four things we can look at.

We're going to look at states in the past,

So, first of all, let's look at the first one here.

And this is also kind of continuous activities

So we're talking about live, living.

We have the subject plus the verb with ED, if it's regular.

So the second use of the simple past

Now we can use this really effectively

The third way of using the simple past,
