In today’s video, you’ll get the chance to  practise answering questions about what you like

to do in your free time. Before we start, let’s  learn some key phrases that will come in handy.

Instead of overusing “I like...”, here are  some alternative phrases to impress friends,  

"I like..."를 과도하게 사용하는 대신 친구, 교사 및 시험관에게 깊은 인상을 줄 수 있는 몇 가지 대체 문구가 있습니다

teachers and examiners! You could say:

I’m interested in (+ noun / gerund) For  example, “I’m interested in football.  

I’m Interest to (+ 명사 / 동명사) 예: “I’m Interest to football.

My favourite team is Sheffield United!” Or you  could be more specific and say: “I’m interested  

내가 가장 좋아하는 팀은 셰필드 유나이티드입니다!” 또는 더 구체적으로 다음과 같이 말할 수 있습니다. “저는

in watching football. I don’t like to play myself.  In fact, I’ve never even kicked a football!”

축구를 보는 데 관심이 있습니다. 나는 나 자신을 가지고 노는 것을 좋아하지 않는다. 사실 저는 축구공을 차 본 적도 없어요!”

Another option is: I’m keen on (+ noun / gerund). For  

또 다른 옵션은 I'm 열망(+ 명사/동명사)입니다.

example, “I’m keen on swimming. I try to get  to the swimming pool at least twice a week”.  

예를 들어, “수영을 좋아해요. 나는 적어도 일주일에 두 번 수영장에 가려고 노력합니다.”

Or, “I’m keen on sport. I  especially love swimming.”

또는 “나는 스포츠를 좋아해요. 특히 수영을 좋아합니다.”

An option which is a little  more informal would be: 

좀 더 비공식적인 옵션은 다음과 같습니다.

I’m into (+ noun / gerund). For example, “I’m  really into books at the moment. I especially love  

I'm into (+ 명사 / 동명사). 예를 들어, “ 요즘 정말 책에 빠져 있어요. 저는 특히

reading thrillers.” Or “These days I’m really into  reading. I can’t get enough of a good thriller.

스릴러를 읽는 것을 좋아합니다.” 또는 “요즘 독서에 빠져 있어요 . 나는 좋은 스릴러를 충분히 얻을 수 없습니다.

Last, but not least, you  could keep it simple with. 

마지막으로 간단하게 유지할 수 있습니다.

I enjoy (+ noun / gerund). You could say  for example, “I enjoy going to the cinema.  

나는 (+명사/동명사)를 즐깁니다. 예를 들어 다음과 같이 말할 수 있습니다 . “나는 영화관에 가는 것이 즐겁습니다. 그 날은 반값

I try to go every Tuesday as it’s  half price on those days!” Or, “I have

always enjoyed a trip to the cinema.  I particularly love a good rom-com".

It’s also useful to explain  why you enjoy your hobbies. 

취미를 즐기는 이유를 설명하는 것도 유용합니다. 예를 들어

For example, when talking about sport you might  say. “I enjoy cycling because it keeps me fit.” 

스포츠에 대해 이야기할 때 말할 수 있습니다 .

For artistic activities you could  say, “I love going to pottery class

as I enjoy tapping into my creative side.” And when talking about meeting up with friends,

you could say, “I’m a bit of a social butterfly,  so I tend to spend my free time with friends.”
