It’s Mr. Duncan‘s birthday at West Midlands Safari Park. 🦒 12th August 2024

Hi everybody this is Mr Duncan and Mr Steve we  are out and about on my birthday Mr Steve gave

me a really nice surprise this morning as I opened  my eyes I looked around and Mr Steve says you've

got to look somewhere so I looked around and I  found an invitation to go and feed the giraffes  

주위를 둘러보니 스티브 씨가 어딘가를 봐야 한다고 해서 주위를 둘러보았습니다. 그리고 아주 더운 8월의 날, 제 생일을 축하하는 날에도 웨스트 미들랜즈 사파리 공원에 가서 기린에게 먹이를 주라는 초대장을 찾았습니다.

lovely surprise I knew nothing about it I had no  idea that Steve was going to do this so it was a

total surprise and this morning I was feeding the  giraffes they were coming down and they were Bend

in their necks towards me and I was feeding them  some little fragments of lettuce and cabbage

and also broccoli as well it would appear that  giraffes really do enjoy eating their vegetables

that's why they look so strong and healthy so I  think it was the most amazing experience as you

know I have developed a crush on giraffe they  are ever so nice so again Steve thank you very

we arrived here this morning very early didn't we  Steve and it was quiet but now there are hundreds

and hundreds of people driving around in their  cars so there are many different parts to this

particular Safari Park you can drive around where  all of the dangerous animals are you have to stay  

특별한 사파리 공원에는 운전할 수 있는 다양한 장소가 있으며 모든 위험한 동물이 있어야 합니다.

in your car and you can look around as well there  are other places where you can get out of the car  

차에 있으면서 주변을 둘러볼 수도 있고 차에서 내려

and walk around there are places to eat there's  even a place that has some some dinosaurs you  

걸어 다닐 수 있는 곳도 있고 먹을 수 있는 곳도 있고 심지어 공룡이 있는 곳도 있고

might be able to hear them now and again in  the background but now there are hundreds and  

가끔씩 들을 수 있는 곳도 있어요 배경에는 있지만 지금은 수백

hundreds of people arriving you might just be able  to see there those are just a few of the hundreds

of cars so we are not staying here very long  we are waiting to see what our photographs come

out like they did not let me take any pictures  so they took their own photographs didn't they

Steve even though I was a bit naughty wasn't  I yes Mr Duncan can't help himself uh to be

fair I don't think you heard her instructions the  the lady that showed us around the Giraffe House  

공평하지 않은 것 같아요 그녀의 지시를 들었습니다 기린 하우스를 우리에게 안내해준 아주머니

uh and yes I kept it a big secret from Mr Duncan  for about oh I must have booked this two or three  

어 그리고 네 저는 던컨 씨에게 큰 비밀로 했습니다. 아 제가 이 일을 두세 달 전에 예약한 게 틀림없어요

months ago that's incred can I just say Mr Steve  is terrible at keeping secrets so I still can't

believe that you managed you managed to keep  this whole thing a secret for so long and just

a few days ago we actually drove past this place  whilst coming back from your sisters and I even

said let's go and see the giraffes and I didn't  even realize at the time that Mr Steve had already

booked a surprise for my birthday but of course  the morning they said no filming but I couldn't  

내 생일을 맞아 깜짝 선물을 예약했다는 사실조차 깨닫지 못했죠. 물론 아침에는 촬영이 없다고 했지만 저는 거부할 수 없었어요.

resist getting my camera out and she did tell me  she said I'm sorry no you can't take pictures no  

내 카메라를 꺼냈더니 그녀가 나한테 말했다. 미안하다고 했어, 사진을 찍을 수 없다고 했어.

no pictures I don't know why but anyway I did take  some and we have lots of pictures that they took  

사진이 없어. 이유는 모르겠지만 어쨌든 내가 몇 장을 찍었고, 그들이 찍은 사진도 많이 있어.

as well in fact that's what we're waiting for now  isn't it Steve yes we just uh we went to collect  

사실 그게 다야 지금 우리가 기다리고 있는 건 스티브 아닌가요 네 그냥 어 사진을 모으러 갔는데 사진이 아직

the pictures and they weren't quite ready so we  thought we'll come and do a little uh something  

준비가 안 되어 있어서 와서 카메라에 뭔가 좀 할 줄 알았어요 어

to camera and uh hopefully not bore you all with  the details but yes I as I was saying before you

cut me off Mr Duncan uh I booked this about three  months ago because you have to book in advance uh

can go to the elephants I think you can go to the  lion there's various different uh ways of spending

your money I mean this the standard way is you pay  and you drive around and you stay in your car and

you see all the various animals but if you want  to do something they call it a VIP experience uh  

다양한 동물을 다 볼 수 있지만 무언가를 하고 싶다면 VIP 경험이라고 하더군요

they take you in one of their safari trucks yeah  it was amazing by the way it was incredible I I  

어   사파리 트럭 중 하나로 데려가주죠 네  정말 놀라웠어요 그나저나 정말 대단했어요 난

really did feel as if as if we were we were being  treated to something special so we were feeding  

정말 우리가 우리인 것 같은 느낌이 들었어요 뭔가 특별한 대접을 받았기 때문에 우리는 기린에게 직접 먹이를 주고 있었는데

the giraffes personally it was incredible I can't  wait to see the photographs yes one thing I found  

정말 놀라웠어요 사진을 빨리 보고 싶어요 네 제가 발견한 한 가지

interesting is that the giraffes apparently you  think uh that with a long neck like that you  

흥미로운 점은 기린이 분명히 여러분이 생각하는 것처럼 어 그렇게 목이 길면

think they get an aching neck but it turns out  that their necks spring back uh automatically  

목이 아프다고 생각하는데 알고 보니 목이 자동으로 튀어나와서 목을 똑바로

so they don't have to use any effort to keep  the neck upright but they have to use muscles  

세우려고 노력할 필요는 없지만

to actually make the neck Bend so it's the other  way around because it always looks uncomfortable  

실제로 목을 구부리려면 근육을 써야 합니다. 항상 불편해 보이기 때문에 그 반대입니다.

I always think that giraffes must always get n  cake neck ache so their necks must always hurt  

기린은 항상 목이 아프기 때문에 항상 목이 아플 것이라고 생각합니다.

but apparently they don't also we found out today  that giraffes hardly ever sleep they only sleep  

하지만 분명히 그렇지 않은 것 같습니다. 오늘 우리는 그 사실을 알게 되었습니다. 기린은 잠을 거의 자지 않습니다.

for around 20 minutes every day and that's all  they need anyway we will cut this short before it  

매일 20분 정도만 자고 그게 전부입니다. 어쨌든

becomes a very long video and and we will catch  you later so we will continue our day we are  

영상이 너무 길어지기 전에 짧게 잘라서 나중에 다시 찾아뵙겠습니다. 그러니 하루를 계속하겠습니다.

now going to get something to eat not here we're  going to go somewhere around this area there are  

이제 시작하겠습니다. 먹을 것 여기 말고 우리는 이 지역 어딘가에 갈 거예요.

many nice places to eat and I will have a lovely  birthday meal with Mr Steve thank you for your
