okay at the moment I am watching some television I put the TV on to see if

there's anything on to see if there's anything worth watching and as usual

there is nothing to watch I was going to watch the news but even the news at the

moment is very boring they're just talking about BREXIT BREXIT BREXIT and BREXIT

they're not talking about anything else on the news at the moment

so oh dear me... I don't know how to work this can someone please help me

hello Juan welcome to my very unusual livestream now I've been testing my

livestream tonight I want to see how long I can stream before the connection

disappears so that's the reason why I'm doing this I've already been on for

about 2 hours and 40 minutes and we've had a look at lots of things tonight

we've had a look at some lovely things including the beautiful sunset we've

also been listening to the sounds of the sheep and the birds so lots of things

TV on I'm watching the television at the moment I'm watching the news and all

they are talking about is brexit can you believe it a very boring subject mr.

this Wednesday sorry this Thursday we are voting here in the UK for the

representatives in the European Parliament which is very strange because

we are about to leave the European Union so because brexit has been delayed for

several months maybe four months maybe six months we we now have to actually

vote in the European elections it's very strange very strange situation

sport of badminton

another thing that they're talking about at the moment a lot on the television

here is funding for the local councils so each year every area of the UK is

given a certain amount of money or they raise a certain amount of money and

quite often there isn't enough money to pay for the local services things such

as repairing the roads so that's one of the reasons why if you come to the UK

you will notice that many of the roads especially in the countryside they are

in in very poor condition and that's the reason why people are often complaining

about there not being enough money to go around so one of the reasons why we

don't have very good roads in certain parts of England is because there is not

enough money to pay to repair them I

wonder what else is on television let's have a look so I'm going to flick

through the channels so let's see what the BBC is doing at the moment the BBC

is talking about religion on the BBC so on BBC one at the moment they are

talking all about religion and this is a programme about young people who

apparently are young pretty and religious just seem like a very strange

combination but let's have a look so the programme I'm watching is called young

Welsh and pretty religious oh I see I understand now so this programme would

appear to be all about people who are religious who are living in Wales

okay also I'm looking for a Family Guy oh yes

yeah Family Guy is on I like Family Guy

okay I'm watching one of the Star Wars spoofs who likes Family Guy do you like

Family Guy I love watching family guy and a few years ago they made some some

spoofs of the Star Wars films and at the moment they are showing one of the Star

Wars films that was remade for Family Guy I have to be careful that you can't

hear the sound I have to make sure you can't hear the sound or else I might get

it's very funny I know sometimes it's a little bit rude and some people don't

like Family Guy but I like it very much so yes I like watching a Family Guy

about the central government is it hell to keep the countryside funded well it's

not just the countryside but it's also many of the regions of the areas so each

local council has to raise money so it can take care of the people that live in

that area so yes mr. Steve is away I am on my own

sitcom hello Matthew Matthew a win now I have been watching television for many

many years so I have many favorite TV shows many favorite comedy shows I must

admit I do like American comedy I do find sometimes I enjoy American comedy

more than British comedy for example I like Seinfeld so if you are of a certain

age you probably watched Seinfeld during the 1990s like I did so I like

Seinfeld I also like modern comedies like Family Guy American Dad I

I used to watch The Big Bang Theory but I don't like the Big Bang Theory anymore

I don't think it's very funny and thank goodness they have decided to to finish

to end the Big Bang Theory so I used to like the Big Bang Theory many years ago

in the early seasons but now I don't like it I don't like it at all

mr. Duncan your lessons help me very much my English is much better now

I am happy oh thank you very much it is very interesting for me it is also

like him very much he is my favorite character from Harry Potter

thank you ts for that yes the actor who played the part of Professor Snape is

actually British he was born in England so that's the reason why I said that he

he is from England because the actor who plays the part of Professor Snape is

actually British or English Alan Rickman Alan Rickman sadly he died in 2016

actually relaxing in front of the TV there is

there is an advertisement on television at the moment starring Robert De Niro

and it's on at the moment it's actually on TV now as I sit here but I have a

strange feeling that maybe Robert De Niro has had some some Photoshop done on

his face because he seems to look a lot younger than he normally does so

sometimes on television here in the UK you will find that there are very famous

people very famous film stars appearing on TV in the commercials and this

particular commercial I'm watching at the moment has Robert De Niro in it very

strange mr. Duncan you have to buy an Italian sofa it is much more comfortable

than yours Victoria I think maybe you are right yes I have heard all about

Italian furniture it is not only stylish it is not only functional but it is also

very comfortable although having said that I think my sofa is very comfortable

I like my sofa very much

mr. Duncan how do you begin with this idea do you mean the idea to do the

livestreams well I've been doing my live streams for nearly three years and of

course I have been teaching English on YouTube for over 13 years so I have been

doing this for a very long time mr. Duncan your lessons have helped me very

much thank you very much for that I felt very upset

I was crying when I heard that Alan Rickman had died yes very sad very

Siddim very sad news because no one seemed to realize that he was ill so so

nobody knew that he was ill so many people were very sad very shocked when

Alan Rickman died because it seemed very sudden so I will try that the next time

I buy a new sofa the next time I buy some new furniture I will try to make

sure that my furniture is Italian okay that's a promise

that's a mr. Duncan promise so I'm just watching TV here just seeing if there's

anything on I was watching law and order so now I'm going to change the channel

so now I'm watching my favorite shopping channel do you ever watch shopping

channels on television I love watching shopping TV I don't buy anything I just

like watching it Terminator 2 Oh Terminator 2 Judgment Day both very

interesting

do-do-do-do-do-do actually Terminator 2 is one of my all-time favorite movies

that's the end of Terminator 2 that's it it's finished Terminator 2 I love

Terminator 2 it's a very good movie Family Guy again Family Guy is on one of

the things that I sometimes get annoyed about when I'm watching television it's

sometimes there seems to be too many adverts there is far too much

advertising on television so sometimes I get a little bit annoyed by all the

adverts that you see on television is there anyone still there is anyone still

watching I hope so what an interesting moment of time this is there's nothing I

enjoy more than relaxing on my sofa and watching a little bit of television but

sometimes you can't find anything decent to watch sometimes everything is

terrible Vittoria says I feel very sad because today Niki Lauda the racing

driver died yes that's very sad news he was 70 I think and of course he was very

famous in the 1970s for his rivalry between him and James Hunt there were

both very competitive people so yes very sad news

and of course niki lauda suffered some horrendous injuries in the mid-1970s

when he had a serious crash during a race which left him heavily scarred he

suffered severe burns but just a few weeks later he went back onto the track

and carried on racing amazingly if you want to find out more about niki

lauda and also james hunt there is a very good movie all about their their

rivalry as these says here it is Surrey time which means the beginning of the

so it's not just about learning English it's also sharing experiences about this

due to do so yes I used to watch The Big Bang Theory season one two three and

fall I thought were very good I thought there were really good seasons but after

that I stopped watching because I didn't think it was very funny anymore I'm sure

some other people will disagree maybe some people think that it's even funnier

than it was in the early seasons mr. Duncan who would you want to be if you

couldn't become an English teacher I don't know really to be honest with you

in my life I've done many different jobs so because I I am NOT a young person

I've been around for many many years on this planet so in that time I've done

many different jobs I've tried many different things and then around about

16 years ago I decided to get into teaching and that's where it all started

and then I went to China I worked there as an English teacher and after that I

came back here and already I had started making my YouTube videos so I started

making my YouTube videos when I was still in China and then when I returned

back to the UK I carried on making them and then they became very popular and

I've been doing them ever since Here I am now I'm still doing it

mr. Duncan I'm watching a video before and I wondered because there were birds

singing in the night how is it possible well the thing to remember is here in

the UK it doesn't get dark until very late so the days are very long during

the summer months and that's the reason why so the birds will sing until very

late during the summer months so yes that the birds sometimes will sing till

very late at night it's true I am flicking through the channels with my

remote control I am flicking through the channels there

isn't much arm to be honest do you have Netflix a lot of people like to watch

programs on Netflix nowadays I have Netflix but I don't

watch many things on there once or twice I have canceled my subscription to

Netflix because I've decided that I didn't want to to use it anymore so so

at the moment I do have Netflix can you believe it there is a TV show here in

the UK that is people watching television so all they do is sit and

watch TV they don't do anything else so you are watching people watching

television I know it sounds crazy doesn't it but it's true

so there is a TV show in the UK where people sit and watch television and that

is the television program I'm not joking and it's on at the moment so it's

actually on television at the moment I'm watching it right now so I'm watching a

TV show which is a group of people watching another television show so if

you think that your television in your country is terrible nothing compares to

how bad British television is it's terrible really is at night in Italy

there are only bats and owls oh yes we get bats and owls here as well yes we do

we get lots of bats and owls here in the UK definitely slow fee is here hello

I really hope so welcome to my little house I'm just sitting on my lovely

comfortable sofa this is nice and I'm watching a bit of television although

having said that there isn't much on so what is television like in your country

is it good are there some good programs that you like to watch on television in

I've really enjoyed as these says please one day can you do a live stream about

disability now that is an issue that many people talk about especially these

days because we we constantly need to be aware that there are people who try to

live their lives with disabilities and this is something that has affected my

life because my mother fought for many many years has been disabled so not many

people know that but it's true so I do know a little bit about disability and

dealing with disability and coping with everyday life

apparently Victoria says the television here is really rubbish as well I think

so yes yes there is a lot of rubbish on television here trust me a lot of

rubbish so sometimes I will sit here in front of the television and I will just

go through the channels again and again and again trying to find something to

watch and sometimes it's very hard to find something entertaining so more

often than not I will quite often end up watching YouTube so sometimes I find

that watching YouTube is actually more entertaining than

watching television in Argentina the TV is so bad I have decided to live without

television and I don't miss it but I have the Internet and I chose I choose

what I see I think so I think nowadays more people watch things on the internet

than they do on the television I think you're right yes so I think I think that

is something that many people do even me as I said just quite often I will I will

watch YouTube instead of television because most of the most of the programs

are so terrible they are so awful

especially reality TV Oh am I the only person who hates reality TV there are so

many bad TV shows on at the moment and quite often they they are reality TV

shows and they drive me crazy they really do

the news oh let's have a look at the weather I'm just watching the weather

forecast on television now so the weather tomorrow what is it going to be
