Talking of which, of course, yesterday was the 8th of November,

a very big special day in the United States.

They all went to vote.

A lot of people were predicting

a landslide victory

for the conservatives or as they call them, their Republicans.

So here in the UK, we say conservatives

pretty much the same thing,

very similar to Republicans with their points of view.

However, it did not turn out quite that way.

A lot of people were saying the blood moon last night

was predicting the outcome, but in fact,

I think it was actually a warning

telling people not to do it.

Yes, I yeah.

Anyway, we haven't really seen much about the results on that.

I don't think it's the quite the landslide they were after.

It is not, although they may might still potentially control both houses.

The risk that could happen, but certainly not a

big sweeping wall as they expected.

But either way, if they win both, it's all over for the Democrats.

But there you go.

Well, when we say all over, I don't think it's actually all over in that sense.

But I think it has taken a lot of the steam out of a certain Mr.

Donald Trump.

Yes, he was expecting everything to change

completely and have a real big victory.

But it didn't happen. It didn't turn out like that.

are quite wary

of this particular man because they've been fooled before.

by outlawing it, because I think a lot of people wanted it to stay.

And that's one of the reasons why a lot of people hesitated to vote Republican.

So it's interesting very interesting state.

All the results aren't in yet, but it would appear

that it's not quite the victory that they were hoping for.

So it's an interesting time.

And it also, Steve serves as a great distraction

from the absolute mess we are in here in England.

So that's another reason why I'm excited about it.

that they are now having to stay at home, they're working from home at the moment.

then the wild birds that have got the flu and I think I'm right in saying

that the bird flu is carried by, but it's wild, wild birds.

And then they land and then they give it to the

domestic birds or the chickens and farmed.

I want to know how they do it.

What are they doing?

They must sneeze on them or something.

I think I think there's some, some very strange behaviour going on between all of these birds.

is going up to the pigeon and saying, oh hello, oh you're different.

I would imagine they must sneeze of I don't know.

That transmitted between the wild birds and the farm birds.

I don't know how that transmission process takes place.

And of course, what happens then is that if the farm birds catch the flu

because there's such a lot of them in a small space, they have to be all destroyed.

Because there's the risk then that could be passed on to humans.

But I don't know how long the virus lives in tissue, so I know.

which is different to human flu.

And cats, you know, dogs, they have their own type of flu as well.

And normally you can't.

So if a bird gets flu, it's a specific virus to the birds

and it can't be, you know, humans can't catch it from birds.

But, you know, in theory, normally it doesn't, but in practise it can happen.

So it can it could be transmitted.

From birds to humans, but we're not sure.

But it does happen. That's the danger.

And what can happen is when it gets into lots of birds, it can mutate a little and it can mutate into a form

that then is transmitted to humans because they're very closely related.

Viruses and all the details.

and congratulated each other for how wonderful they are for saving the world,

they actually decide that they can't do anything,

but they do agree the next time they will try better.

And that's it.

And that's it's the latest thing they've come up with Mr.

Duncan, is that

is that rich western

countries will have to pay reparations.

So, you know, most of the countries in Europe, America, the UK,

this this is being put about now that we have to pay reparations. To.

To poorer countries. So that's not so much.

So that's about 70% of the world.

So that they can because obviously we want other countries

to develop low carbon usage. Yes.

But they are saying it's too expensive for them to do it.

You got to carry on burning coal.

So what they want is us to pay them

China is currently the country with the most people in the world,

while India are going to overtake China

as being the most populous country in the world. Yes.

I think the problem with China, I think they keep rounding them up.

Well, this is going to start going down.

And locking them away.

And apparently the the world population

will peak at 10 billion probably in the next 20 years,

20 or 30 years.

And then it will start to decline, apparently.

that you're beating China in the

in the production of human beings race, assuming that is even a race.

I have to say it is a strange it is a very strange thing

to be competing with or competing over.

I don't mean it to sound like a competition, but

you've got a much younger population, which would be very good

because we need more younger people. Yes.

are retiring from work now earlier than they otherwise would have done.

So quite often we will use the word strength

to state how well a person

is able to cope with pressure,

or maybe the ability to do something

to overcome a difficulty.

to withstand and endure.

Withstand to withstand is to bare something.

To take the weight or the pressure of

something is to withstand.

And of course, we have the word in jaw

and jaw means to battle through.

You can stand the pain, you can take the pressure,

you endure that thing.

You might say that you are fighting against a certain type of thing,

be it a difficult situation or maybe a bad moment

in your life or perhaps illness.

You have the strength to fight

that thing.

The quality of being strong refers

to the amount of strength a person has.

So the quality of being strong is your strength.

So you might say that being strong

means that you are able to do something well, or maybe you are able to

But of course, quite often strength

is also judged on the type of level.

There are different levels of strength.

So strong just means that you have an ability to do something well,

or maybe you have the power and strength

is the level, the level.

So you might have little strength,

you might have some strength,

or perhaps you have a lot of strength.

You are of the level of strength reflects one's stamina.

Another good word we are looking at some quite

interesting words today, by the way, stamina,

a person's stamina.

you might attribute something towards that person.

You are giving them a compliment, perhaps about something

that they have a part of their character or maybe their strength.

It can also define a person's character.

So we often view strength as a physical attribute,

something that relates to your body.

Maybe you have large muscles, maybe you can lift

heavy things, you have physical strength,

but it can also define a person's character the way they are.

Their actual character, the type of person they are

to be strong physically.

So if you are physically strong,

you are

doing this.

Role.

Like that, or you can be strong

mentally appear in your head

the way you think, the way you express your thoughts.

So a person can be strong physically

and also strong mentally.

We can say that these things

express the ability to endure either physical stress

or mental stress.

So a person who can run very far, a person

who can lift heavy things,

has physical strength, may be a person

who is very good at understanding other people's problems,

They don't have the ability to do it.

They don't have the ability to do something.

They are unable to carry a certain task out.

Maybe they don't have a very strong body.

Maybe they have very little strength to do it.

The word weakness relates to the lack of strength.

A weak person lacks strength,

so if you lack something, it means you don't have it.

It is not there.

That thing does not exist.

You do not have that particular thing.

You lack strength.

You don't have much strength.

You have weakness.

You can be weak physically, you can be weak mentally.

So I suppose it's fair to say that you can be strong up here

and also here,

or you can be weak here

and here.

So there are ways of defining weakness,

especially when we are talking about your abilities,

be it physical or mental, a weak

minded person, a very interesting word

again, or I suppose it's more like a phrase, a person who is weak

So we might describe a person as weak minded

or we can use the word gullible.

A gullible person is a person who is easily fooled.

They believe anything that they hear.

We can also use the word gullible.

and frail to describe a weak person.

So a person who is not very strong

They don't have much strength.

Unfortunately, strength and weakness

can be also used to show the amount of flavour

or the force of something.

Strength and weakness can be used to show the amount of flavour,

maybe in a certain type of food, or

maybe in a certain type of drink.

And of course, we can also use strength

and weakness to describe the force of, something the force

that is exerted by one thing on another.

It is often used

to describe type weather events.

You might have a strong cup of tea

which has an intense flavour, so a strong cup of tea

has intense flavour.

If something is intense, it means it is very visible

or you can sense that thing very easily.

It is intense.

You might also

a weather situation,

a strong wind exerts great force.

So we can describe wind that is blowing

strongly as strong.

You can say strong wind or strong winds.

Quite often when you are giving a weather forecast,

if bad weather is coming your way,

if you are having a lot of wind,

you might say that there is a strong wind approaching.

Of course, you can also use the word weak as well. Weak.

A weak

cup of tea has little or no flavour.

So something that you can't taste or maybe something

vigour, zest.

A person who has a lot of energy, they might be energetic.

They like to do lots of things during the day.

You might describe them as strong because they have a lot of energy,

they have a lot of vigour

and zest.

I like that word.

The word weakness defines disadvantage.

Drawback, faults,

flaw,

failings,

limitation and weak spot.

So all of those things that are listed

beneath here can define

weakness, things that

are without strength, or things

that have very little strength.

Words connected to strong.

Well, we can say something is strong,

agile, burly.

We often use the word burly to describe a person's appearance

if they are large and muscular,

maybe they have lots of muscles.

They are burly.

A person who is fit quite often is also strong.

Still 30 something strong,

something that does not move easily, can be described as sturdy,

tough is another one.

Something strong, something tough,

something well-built

or something that is well-made can be described as strong.

And then we have words connected to weak.

We can say that something is weak, delicate, feeble,

fragile, pathetic,

puny, scrawny,

weedy, something that appears to have no strength

or appears weak can be described as weedy

or scrawny.

Not very nice words, actually.

A person might describe a weakness or vulnerability

they have as their Achilles heel.

Achilles heel.

Have you ever heard that expression before, Mr.

There is your Achilles heel.

It is part of the back of your foot.

You can see that there is a large tendon

coming up at the back of your foot.
