Learn the English Phrases "to hit a wall" and "I'd like to be a fly on the wall!"

In this English lesson I wanted to help you learn the English phrase to hit a wall.

Nesta aula de inglês, eu queria ajudá-lo a aprender a frase em inglês para bater na parede.

When we say in English that you hit a wall, it means you've hit an obstacle

Quando dizemos em inglês you hit a wall, significa que você bateu em um obstáculo

or even a feeling that makes you stop doing something.

ou até mesmo em um sentimento que te faz parar de fazer algo.

If I'm working really hard on a video and I can't think of other ideas

Se estou trabalhando muito em um vídeo e não consigo pensar em outras ideias

to finish the video, I could say that I hit a wall.

para terminar o vídeo, posso dizer que bati em uma parede.

If I'm running a long distance, if I run for more than two

Se estou correndo uma longa distância, se corro por mais de dois

or 3 minutes, eventually I hit a wall.

Basically, I can't breathe fast enough to actually keep running.

We often describe runners who run long distances when they get to a point

The other phrase I wanted to teach you today is the phrase, I'd like to be a fly on the wall.

This is a phrase we use when we know people are talking about something in a room,

maybe at work or maybe in your house and you're not in the room,

but you would like to be in the room.
