the English phrase tooth and nail.

This is something we use to describe a fight

Not a fight where they're punching each other,

but maybe a court battle or just an argument.

And you say that someone fights tooth

When you fight tooth and nail for something,

it means that you fight really, really hard for it.

A long time ago in this area,

they wanted to build windmills.
