Meaning of GOOD WITH YOUR HANDS - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

So if someone tells you in English that they think you are good with your hands it means

that they think you're really, really good at building things and doing work with your

hands.

So when you take your car to get fixed we would say that your mechanic is very good

with his hands because if they are doing things all day where they need to use their hands

they need to be really, really good at using their hands.

So all of, what we call the jobs or trades, where you need to use your hands have people

in them who are good with their hands.

So if you are a construction worker, or if you are someone who builds cars, or if you

are someone who does plumbing or electrical work we would say that you are good with your

hands.

You're also good with your brain, you just have the added advantage of also being good

with your hands.
