English Clarity, Fluency, & Confidence — Even If You're Stuck Right Now

Hey,

it's Wednesday and this week I have something a little different from my

usual confident English lesson. In fact, I have some questions for you,

but before I go there, because you're here,

my guess is you watch my Confident English lessons every week,

and you probably watch a lot of other wonderful English videos here on YouTube.

I bet you have some English apps on your phone and you practice consistently.

You work hard at perfecting your English skills.

I know that you're probably seeking fluency,

confidence and clarity, and yet,

even after all the time that you've put in watching videos,

working on apps, practicing, maybe even joining online classes,

you still feel stuck when you speak English.

You still find those moments when

the words just aren't there.

Maybe you have them all clear and perfectly organized in your mind,

but the moment you start to speak,

it's like everything disappears and it's super frustrating.

It's discouraging. You might even start to wonder, what's the point?

Why do I keep doing this? It doesn't seem like I'm making any progress.

Have you ever felt that way? If you have,

I want you to know that you're definitely not alone in that feeling,

and I want you to know that you're not bad at English. In fact,

many of my students have had the same feelings and experiences,

but here's what I know is true.

English confidence and English fluency are a hundred percent possible for

you. I know that because I see it happen with my students every single day.

Even if you're doubting me right now, even if you feel too shy, stuck,

or nervous right now in your English,

I know that it's possible to change.

The truth is right now there's a gap.

There's a gap between understanding English and speaking it,

and if no one has shown you how to bridge that gap,

if no one has shown you which strategies help you think in English and

organize your thoughts, which strategies help you activate vocabulary quickly,

which strategies allow you to communicate clearly and to be in

control while you're speaking,

then it's hard to make that progress.

What you need is for someone to show you how to do that and then give you the

opportunity to practice and support you along the way.

And so now here's the real question I have for you.

What would it mean for you to be fluent in English?

What would change in your life?

What it mean walking into a meeting at work and having the ability to clearly

share your opinion and know that everyone is listening.

No one's going to interrupt you. No one's.

Going to speak over you, they are listening to you.

Or would it mean finally applying for the job that you really want or the

promotion and interviewing for that job in English and getting the job?

Would it mean finally starting a conversation with a neighbor or parent where

your kid goes to school and feeling comfortable,

feeling like you belong in English?

Having those conversations that develop connections and meaningful

relationships?

The reason I ask is because fluency isn't just about having the right

grammar or the right vocabulary.

It's about having the freedom to fully express yourself in real life

at your work, in your community, in your neighborhood,

and in moments that truly matter. Now, if this is connecting with you,

if you're thinking, oh my gosh, yes, this is me. I don't know what to do.

I'm working so hard at English and I'm not making progress,

I still can't speak. I have something that might help,

and there's one thing that I want you to do today.
