that I have seen and heard…far too many times since I came to Korea.

Now, it’s a very easy phrase.

The simple phrase, “Nice to meet you.”

简单的一句话，“很高兴认识你。”

Ya, you probably know it.

是的，你可能知道。

You’ve probably said it.

你可能已经说过了。

But the problem is, so many Korean people don’t understand ‘when’ to really use the phrase, “Nice to meet you”…

但问题是，很多韩国人不明白“何时”真正使用“很高兴见到你”这句话

…because when you ‘meet’ somebody knew, that means you told them your name…

……因为当你“遇见”时有人知道，这意味着你告诉他们你的名字

…they told you their name.

……他们告诉你他们的名字。

Many times I’m just walking down the street…

很多时候我只是走在街上……

You know, I’m shopping or something,

你知道，我在购物什么的，

and then a Korean person says, “Hi, nice to meet you.”

然后一个韩国人说，“嗨，很高兴认识你。”

And I think….

’I don’t know your name.’
