I’m going to explain to you about a speaking problem

제가 한국에 온 이후로 너무 많이 보고 들은

that I have seen and heard…far too many times since I came to Korea.

말하기 문제에 대해 설명 하겠습니다.

Now, it’s a very easy phrase.

자, 아주 쉬운 문장입니다.

The simple phrase, “Nice to meet you.”

"만나서 반가워요"라는 간단한 문구.

Ya, you probably know it.

예, 아마 알고 계실 것입니다.

You’ve probably said it.

당신은 아마 그것을 말했다.

But the problem is, so many Korean people don’t understand ‘when’ to really use the phrase, “Nice to meet you”…

그러나 문제는 많은 한국 사람들이 '만나서 반가워'라는 표현을 실제로 사용하는 '언제'를 이해하지 못한다

…because when you ‘meet’ somebody knew, that means you told them your name…

는 것입니다

…they told you their name.

… 당신은 그들의 이름.

Many times I’m just walking down the street…

많은 경우 저는 그냥 길을 걷고 있습니다...

You know, I’m shopping or something,

아시다시피, 저는 쇼핑

and then a Korean person says, “Hi, nice to meet you.”
