One of them is wrong.

তাদের মধ্যে একটি ভুল।

spelling mistake in English.

Among students, but also, among native speakers.

। ছাত্রদের মধ্যে, কিন্তু

স্থানীয় ভাষাভাষীদের মধ্যেও।

It's a difference between 'it's' meaning 'it is'.

এটি 'এটি' এর অর্থ 'এটি' এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য।

And 'its' being the possessive adjective.

এবং 'তার' হচ্ছে অধিকারী বিশেষণ।

Okay let's and take a few sentences  and I'm sure you'll get it.

ঠিক আছে আসুন এবং কয়েকটি বাক্য গ্রহণ করি

এবং আমি নিশ্চিত যে আপনি এটি পাবেন।

So we have 'It's a sunny day'.

তাই আমরা 'এটি একটি রৌদ্রোজ্জ্বল দিন' আছে.

In this case 'it's' is the verb 'to be'.

এক্ষেত্রে 'it's' হল 'to be' ক্রিয়া।

So it means 'It is a sunny day'.

সুতরাং এর অর্থ হল 'এটি একটি রৌদ্রোজ্জ্বল দিন'।

If we take the second sentence:

যদি আমরা দ্বিতীয় বাক্যটি গ্রহণ করি:

'The dog ate its food'.

'কুকুর তার খাবার খেয়েছে'।

This is not the verb 'to be'.

এটি 'হতে' ক্রিয়া নয়।

It's the possessive adjectives  for an object or an animal.

এটি

একটি বস্তু বা প্রাণীর অধিকারী বিশেষণ।

So the food belongs to the dog. It is its food.

তাই খাবার কুকুরের।

এটা তার খাদ্য।

Okay so these are two different cases

ঠিক আছে তাই এই দুটি ভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে

but sometimes when we write, we confuse the two,

কিন্তু কখনও কখনও যখন আমরা লিখি,

আমরা দুটিকে বিভ্রান্ত করি,

and we will write the dog ate it's food with apostrophe s.

এবং আমরা লিখব

কুকুরটি অ্যাপোস্ট্রোফের সাথে এর খাবার খেয়েছে।

you know getting confused  between its possessive adjectives

আপনি জানেন যে এটির অধিকারী বিশেষণগুলির মধ্যে বিভ্রান্ত হচ্ছে

and it's being the contraction  of the verb 'to be'.

এবং এটি 'হতে' ক্রিয়াটির সংকোচন হচ্ছে।

This is a very common mistake.

এটি একটি খুব সাধারণ ভুল।

if we take for example the sentence:

যদি আমরা উদাহরণ স্বরূপ বাক্যটি নিই:

'Its my pen'.

'এটি আমার কলম'।

Now look at the sentence.

এখন বাক্যটি দেখুন।

What do you think?

আপনি কি মনে করেন?

Is this right? Or is this the wrong spelling?

এটা কী ঠিক?

নাকি এই ভুল বানান?

Well it's wrong.

আচ্ছা এটা ভুল।

'It's my pen' is the verb 'to be'.

'এটি আমার কলম' হল 'হতে' ক্রিয়া।

Now the best tip that I can give you

এখন সেরা টিপ যা আমি আপনাকে দিতে পারি

if you get confused, try and say it with the full form.

যদি আপনি বিভ্রান্ত হন,

চেষ্টা করুন এবং সম্পূর্ণ ফর্ম সহ বলুন।

Try and say 'It is'.

চেষ্টা করুন এবং বলুন 'এটি'।

If it makes sense, then it's the contraction of the verb 'to be'

যদি এটি বোধগম্য হয়,

তাহলে এটি 'to be' ক্রিয়াপদটির সংকোচন

and it should be apostrophe 's'.

এবং এটি apostrophe 's' হওয়া উচিত।

If it doesn't make sense, then it's probably the possessive adjective.

যদি এটি অর্থপূর্ণ না হয়,

তাহলে এটি সম্ভবত অধিকারী বিশেষণ।

So for example, I can say, 'It is a sunny day'.

সুতরাং উদাহরণস্বরূপ, আমি বলতে পারি, 'এটি একটি রৌদ্রোজ্জ্বল দিন'।

That makes sense.

এটা বোধগম্য.

Can I say the dog ate it is food?

আমি কি বলতে পারি যে কুকুরটি খাবার খেয়েছে?

No, I can't. that doesn't make any sense.

না, আমি পারব না। যে কোন মানে না.

Okay if I say, 'It's my pen',

ঠিক আছে আমি যদি বলি, 'এটা আমার কলম',

What do you think? Can I say 'It is my pen'?

আপনার কী মনে হয়? আমি কি বলতে পারি 'এটা আমার কলম'?

I can.

আমি পারি.

So it's actually the  contraction of the verb 'to be'.

সুতরাং এটি আসলে 'হতে' ক্রিয়াপদের সংকোচন।

So it should be 'it' + apostrophe 's' + my pen.

সুতরাং এটি হওয়া উচিত 'এটি' + অ্যাপোস্ট্রফি 'এস' + আমার কলম।

And just so you know one last thing.

এবং শুধু তাই আপনি একটি শেষ জিনিস জানেন.

Be careful because sometimes in some cases

সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করুন কারণ কখনও কখনও কিছু ক্ষেত্রে

'it's' can also be the contraction of  the verb 'to have' and not 'to be'.

'এটি' ক্রিয়াপদের সংকোচনও হতে পারে 'to have'

এবং 'to be' নয়।

If we take those two sentences:

যদি আমরা সেই দুটি বাক্য গ্রহণ করি:

It's been great to meet you.

আপনার সাথে দেখা করে দারুণ হয়েছে।

It means - It has been great to meet you.

এর মানে হল- তোমার সাথে দেখা করে দারুণ হয়েছে।

'It's got four legs' means it has got four legs.

'এর চার পা আছে' মানে চার পা আছে।

Okay so the verb in those cases is 'to have' so be careful.

ঠিক আছে তাই সেই ক্ষেত্রে ক্রিয়া হল 'to have'

তাই সতর্ক থাকুন।

Okay guys I hope you now understand the difference
