H all right I'm here at the  bank I've never done this

before but they said I need to open a  bank account for my new job let's see  

everyone seems to be taking a ticket from that  machine over there how does it work though do  

I just press a button or what if  I press the wrong one it looks

difficult good morning I see you're trying to  figure out how to get a ticket do you need some

help oh yes please I've never been  to a bank to do something like this

before what happens is I need to open a bank  account but I'm not sure how to get started no  

worries it's actually pretty simple this machine  here will give you a ticket with a number on it  

and that number will be called when it's your  turn to see one of our Bankers let me show you  

how it works thank you I was worried I'm might  press the wrong thing or end up in the wrong

line I totally understand it can be a bit  confusing the first time so all you need to  

do is look at the screen here you'll see a few  options like account services Loans customer  

support and so on since you want to open a  new bank account you want to choose account

services got it so I just tap  here where it says account

services exactly go ahead and press that  and the Machine will print out a ticket for

you all right I have my ticket  it says I'm number 24 what do  

I do next great now you just need to  take a seat in the waiting area over

there there's a screen that shows the  current number being served when you see your

number that's when you'll go to  the desk or office indicated on  

the screen since you're here here to open an

account you'll probably be called to  one of our account managers in a private

office that makes sense I'll just wait until  my number is called then I understand that

Collins and I'll be helping you open your bank  account today what brings you in to open an

account hi Mr Collins thanks for seeing me  I'm here to open my first bank account because  

I just started a new job and they said I  need one to receive my salary that's why  

congratulations on the new job that's exciting  opening your first bank account is a bigest  

step and I'm here to make sure everything  goes smoothly so let's start by discussing

the the different types of accounts we offer  all right let's see are you looking for a  

basic checking account or would you  like to know about savings options as

well I think I just need a basic checking  account for now I mainly needed to receive my

paychecks and maybe pay some  bills online I don't have much  

experience with bank accounts so  I'm not sure what's best a basic  

checking account is a great place to  start especially if you're looking to

handle everyday transactions like receiving  your paycheck paying bills and making

purchases our checking account comes with  a debit card which you can use to make

payments directly from your account what else  well you'll also have access to online bank

so you can manage your account pay bills  and transfer money anytime it's very

useful that sounds good I think that's exactly  what I need what do I need to do to open an  

account to get started I'll need to gather  some basic information from you like your ID

your social security number and proof of your  address will fill out an application together  

and once that's done I'll explain how to set  up your online banking and use your debit

card oh no I have my ID and  social security card with me but

but I didn't bring anything that  shows my address is that a problem I'm

sorry not at all if you have a utility bill a  lease agreement or even an official letter that  

was sent to your home we can use that as a proof  of address you can bring in it later don't worry

or if you have something like that on your phone  you can show it to me now and that would be

enough oh let's see I actually have my  lease agreement on my phone will that

work yes that will work perfectly if  you don't mind showing it to me we can  

take care of that right now sure um  give me a moment all right here you

are great that's everything we need  for now I'll start the application

process and while I'm doing that I'll explain  a few more details about your new account

one important thing to know is that this  account doesn't have a monthly maintenance

fee as long as you maintain a  minimum balance of let me check it

$500 if your balance Falls below that amount  there's a $10 monthly fee do you understand that  

so as long as I keep at least $500 in my account  I won't be charged anything extra exactly and if  

you think you might not always be able to keep  that much in your account we do have another  

option with no minimum balance requirements  but it comes with a small monthly fee of

$5 um I think I can manage to  keep 500 in the account especially

since I'll be using it mainly for my paychecks  I'd rather avoid the monthly fee if I

can that makes sense now let's talk about  some other features you'll receive a debit  

card within 72 10 business days which  you can use for purchases both in stores  

and online you can also use it to withdraw  cash for ATMs one thing to keep in mind is

that if you use an ATM that's outside our  Network there might be a small fee for each  

transaction I see I'll try to stick to your ATMs  to avoid those fees what about online banking how  

does that work oh our online banking system is  very user friendly once your account is active  

you'll be able to register online or through our  mobile app you'll be able to check your balance  

view transactions trans transfer money between  accounts and even pay bills directly from your  

computer or a smartphone it's a convenient way to  manage your finances without having to visit the

bank that sounds really convenient  I've heard people talk about online

banking but I've never actually  used it before is it secure I hope

so absolutely we use Advanced  security measures to protect your

information including encryption and multiactor

authentication this

means you'll need to verify your identity with  a code Senter to your phone or email whenever  

you log in from a new device it's designed to  keep your account save from unauthorized access  

believe me that's good I'll definitely try it  out once my account is set up is there anything  

else I should know um just a few more things if  you ever lose your debit card card or if it gets

stolen you should report it immediately and  will help you block the card and issue a new

one also if you ever need to deposit  a check you can do that at one of our

ATMs or you can use our Mobile deposit feature  by taking a picture of the check with your

phone wow I didn't know you could deposit  Texs with your phone that's pretty

cool it is it's one of our most popular features  because it saves you a trip to the bank lastly
