birthday come on what's really  going on I know you very well what

family I know when you're sad or  when something happens to you come

yeah we have been more than  just cousins we are good

friends I remember when you broke up with  Monica you didn't want to tell me but I

amazing look I get it Emily is  great but marish isn't that a little

much a little much what do you  mean she is the love of my life

enough why do you need a piece of paper  to prove it I don't think that's necessary

man you don't get it it's not just about  the paper Aaron it's about commitment

it's about building a life together  making it official it is something very

special I don't think so I mean you're  already together without getting

married you live together you are  happy what changes with marriage

Everything Changes marriage is a  promise Aaron it's saying I choose you

forever forever is a long time  Lucas people change feelings

change yeah but isn't that the point to  stick together even when things change

um okay but think about it how  many marriages have we seen

fail for example in our family  look at Uncle Joe and Aunt

Clara they were married for 10 years and  now they can't even be in the same room

true but not every marriage ends  like that look at Grandma and

Grandpa they were married for over  50 years and they were happy you

see maybe but but times were different then

people stayed together because  they had to not because they wanted

to that doesn't mean laugh isn't real I  believe in it I believe Emily and I can  

make it work I don't know man to me it  just seems like a big risk I'm not sure

life is a big risk every day is  a risk but some things are worth

it and your money if you divorce she  will get half of your assets and your

money and we have both been building  our heritage together it's ours

you know Lucas I've got to  admit it you sound pretty

determent but don't you ever think about  the what ifs like what if it doesn't work

out of course I've thought  about it marriage is a lip  

of Faith but isn't everything in life like that

you don't get guarantees you  just have to trust in your

choices I get that but I've always  felt that love doesn't need a legal

stamp you can still have everything a home  family memories without the hassle of marriage

and I respect that Aaron but for me  marriage is something else it's a

symbol but what if Emily doesn't feel the  same way what if she doesn't want to get

married well we've talked about  it a little she's up to the idea

and honestly if she wasn't I'd respect that too  

I'm prepared for her answer really  so you'd be okay if she didn't want

marriage at the end of the day it's about her if  being together without marriage makes her happy  

I'd accept that but I want to  give her the choice that's what I

want look Lucas I'm just giving you a hard  time because I care I don't want you to get

hard I know Aaron but this marriage issue  seems to affect you more than it does me

what is the problem why don't you  agree with marriage is something

wrong what no I already told you  I only seek to protect you that's

all um is there something you're  not telling me we are cousins right

me no of course not everything's

fine oh I remember now you proposed  to your ex-girlfriend and she said no  

right well yeah but that has nothing  to do with it well maybe a little

well whatever happens you better invite me to the
