Bring or Take? - Confusing words in English

verbs, and they are "bring" and "take".

Now, you might be wondering that these seem to be pretty basic verbs, so why the confusion?

Well, there shouldn't be, but sometimes there is, and even in fact in the country where

I am, in Canada, sometimes there is a little bit of confusion between these two basic verbs.

So let's understand what the difference is, okay?

When you say to someone, "Bring that to me", right?

"Bring that book to me", you are saying, you're asking them to bring something towards

you, to bring something in your direction, alright?

So "bring" always implies, or means, in a certain direction, in the direction of the

So we see that "bring" is going towards the speaker, "take" is away from the speaker,

Let's look at some other examples.
