Hello, hello, everyone.

Because in this video,

we will be exploring the airport signs and vocabulary,

so you begin your holidays in the best possible way.

Okay, Maria, show me what you just learnt.

Okay, so the very first thing I will do is… The first thing

I will do is to arrive at the airport with my luggage,

carry-on bag, my boarding pass if I check in online,

and my passport or ID.

I can check

if my carry-on baggage has the appropriate measurements

in the carry-on baggage tester.

Or if my baggage doesn’t exceed the weight limit

in the luggage weighing and packing table.

I can go to the self check in or to the check-in area

and search the airline I travel with.

There, I will get my boarding pass

and I will drop off my baggage.

If I carry a really big baggage or object,

I should go to the oversized international baggage drop-off.

The next step is immigration, because I’m travelling abroad.

Well, you cannot enter with me there,

but probably I will be asked some questions,

like what’s your occupation?

What is the purpose of your trip?

Where will you stay?

How long do you intend to stay?

After going through security,

I will have to check the status of my flight,

and I can do it by watching the screens

that are basically all over the airport.

It could be on time,

if it will take off on schedule.

Delayed, if it will take more time

than expected to take off.

Boarding, if the passengers are already entering the plane.

Flight closed,

if the plane doors have closed already.

Or cancelled,

if it won’t take off at all for a particular reason.

By watching the screen,

I will also be able to check which is the gate number

for my flight,

and this way,

I know where to go to finally wait in the departure lounge

and be ready to fly.

Great.

Yeah, it wasn’t that hard.

I mean, what could go wrong?
