By, On or Over the Phone?

If you're just talking to  someone, then you're on the phone.

누군가와 통화 중이라면 전화 통화를 하는 셈이죠.

Shh. I'm on the phone.

쉿. 지금 전화 중이에요.

When the focus is on communicating something,  you can say that you're doing it over the phone.

무언가를 전달하는 데 중점을 둘 때, 전화로 전달한다고 말할 수 있습니다.

상상해보세요! 그는 그녀와 얼굴을 마주보고 헤어질 용기가 없었다

face. He did it over the phone.  That's almost as bad as texting.

If you want to talk about the phone as a method  or a tool, you can say over the phone or by phone.

전화를 방법이나 도구로 이야기하고 싶다면 , 전화로 또는 직접 통화로 말하면 됩니다.

Some people don't want to give credit  card information over the phone.

어떤 사람들은 전화로 신용카드 정보를 제공하고 싶어하지 않습니다.
