i'm from india wow i visited india in the year

2011. so how was it

it was really good so i visited new delhi and hyderabad

so india is such a beautiful country and i took the train i took the train across

india that must be exciting

it was very exciting

do you ride on the train very often unfortunately no but i love riding

trains it's so awesome having the double like

um sleeping things and yeah number one incident uh this train going reminds me

of incident while going to train a person found his

money stolen

oh no on the train his money was stolen yes he was tough he was fighting here

she was fighting with the police i was sneakily looking at it looking looking

through it what is happening oh you saw this yourself

my goodness how long was your train trip how many

hours we have two days

two days on the train wow so did you go from north india to south

india or from south india to north india i went from south india to west india

stay in india only but apart from india i would like to go to sri lanka

what is your favorite part about studying english

my favorite part about studying english is the

phrases and verbs

what are some of your favorites so my favorites are put your shirt on

that is an idiom i use every day oh yeah

wow my mother who blazes with anger i say put your shirt on put your shirt on

that's my favorite one and next one hold your horses which means have patience

that's another favorite one which always is useful to me

yes the sec the third one i would say is a feather in someone's cap which

i know more idioms in english really wow so they're probably a little

more common in english then so you speak english extremely well you

speak hindi do you speak any other languages

no i don't word would i know what as words of sanskrit words

of one word of war not one word some words of kannada

do you want to guess what language it is ma'am where are you from first of all

good question i'm from the united states united states

english is my first language and it's the most spoken language but i also

speak a second language is it chinese yes it is how did you know

great job yes i also speak chinese and i lived in china for two years

oh my god yeah so i love learning about other

cultures and traveling and seeing the world so

there are many many different types of humans in the world and i love learning

about everyone wow

yeah yeah traveling is very very fun i hope one day you can travel

all right yes traveling reminds me of a day in my summer vacations

i was it was summer vacations i wanted to go i wanted to travel to my native

place but unfortunately i couldn't i don't know why but i couldn't

oh notifications are day three months ago finished

really so you're back in school now yes wow so when

when do you have summer break in india it's from it's from july to ju from june

to july i guess oh i see okay so you start school in the

beginning of august or end of july

july it's almost end of july around 20 or 20

july or something like that oh i see okay well you'll find this

interesting in america kids start school about august 15th somewhere around there

they go back to school and in china kids go back to school in

september oh my god

yes they have a long summer break but their summer break starts later so in

china summer break is like july it's it's um part of june

and then all of july and august oh that's pretty much brick

yeah yeah so they have they have a bit

different school schedule than you do in india

yes yeah

so how long is your winter break 10 days or months

10 days oh 10 days gotcha and is that for a certain holiday

does it fall on a certain holiday

or is it just a winter break

no it's just a winter break okay well you will be interested to know

in the united states our winter break gives people time off for christmas so

that's our big holiday in america so people travel to see friends and

family so they need time off work and school

what is your big holiday in india what is the biggest holiday summer

vacations oh summer vacation i see

what about don't you have certain festivals

yes i have many festivals india's full of cultures and full of festivals

full of festivals what is your favorite festival

my favorite festival is diwali

is that the one with the colors no that was that a different one

that the one with colors colorful festival is called holy but the time

when it's full of crackers in the skies the black

sky has turned black turned blue red green it has some uh

oh so diwali is with fireworks and firecrackers

yes that's my favorite what is the meaning of diwali

i don't know the meaning of diwali but i know why is it celebrated it's history

yes ma'am i know it when lord ram

he was exiled he was exiled in the forest for

about 12 or 15 years no 14 years

he was exiled in the forest so

after 14 years when he came back to his place people drew fire crackers and the

ass that's why they celebrated now yes they're happy he came back

to know that my sister's birthday is on will

she's my mother says my sister's birthday will be on diwali

mom am i horrible i'm so sorry i don't know what happened

you were going to tell me about your sister's birthday

yes it was astonishing then what happened yeah yes ma'am my

sister's birthday is almost near diwali really yes double festivals at the same

time wow that's very very exciting so you

have your sister's birthday the same time wow

are they one week apart one day apart how far apart are they

in india we have diwali on different times because it is pretty

some for example diwali perhaps diwali was on full moon so the day when it

sometimes when it will be full moon then only we can celebrate in last diwali

just one day difference my mother was saying one day my sister will have the

birthday oh no our class is almost over but it
