another video of the vocabulary Series so let's start without Much Ado one fine

morning, my parents were having tea together talking about the world and

after having their tea my father called me and said my dear Havisha, could you

please keep this cup in the kitchen I frankly said no and then my father said

Havisha if you don't do so then you will be in my bad books but if you do so then

you will be in my good books the ball is in your court do you want to be in my good

books or in my bad books you know I really know the tactics of these adults

I've got 13 years of experience with them and that's why I know that if they say

Havisha if you do this thing, you will be a very nice girl if you do that thing you

will be a very bad girl that's just for the sake of speaking because it really

does not matter if you're doing that thing or not it will just be a drama for

15 to 20 minutes and then everything will be back to normal so that's why I

repeated my answer which is no I don't care my father got angry at this and my

mother is more intelligent than him and then she calls my little brother Keshu

who has only an experience of 5 years and I've got 13 years. Look at the

difference understanding this difference my mother calls Keshu and repeats

whatever father said to him and Keshu readily agrees okay Ma give me the cup

I'm a good boy right and my mother says yes Keshu you're such a good boy Havisha

learn from Keshu he's such a good boy so this was the incident which happened to

me today and my friends here it's not about the incident here we found two

criminals guess what it's in someone's good books and in someone's bad books so

first let's talk about in someone's good books in someone's good books means that

the person is pleased with you or I would say if you're in someone's good

books it means that they are pleased with you so due to this incident my

brother is in my parents' good books but I am in my parents' bad books but what

is the meaning of bad books if you are in someone's bad books it simply means

that they're not pleased with you isn't it very simple but how are you going to

remember these two idioms it's a simple trick all that you need to do is that

you need to take them very literally you can think that a person has two books in

his life, good books and bad books in his good books he writes the name of all

good people but in his bad books he writes the name of all bad people so if

he writes your name in the list of good people it simply means that he's pleased

with you isn't it but if he writes your name in the list of bad people then it

simply means he's not pleased with you simple isn't it now I've reached the end
