Hi! Hi! How are you? I'm right as rain, sir. Great! It's nice to meet you.  

Nice to meet you, too, sir. Good. Since this is our  first lesson together, is there anything you want  

to do in class? We could read a story. Have some  free talk. Play a game. What sounds good to you?

Sir, the ball is in your court. All right. Maybe

we can just have a little free talk  and get to know about each other  

um today is Saturday did you do  anything fun on the weekend [Music] um

No, sir.

Normally if you have a day free from school what  do you like to do? I like to just hang around and  

put my hand in different activities. Ah, what  are some of your favorite activities? Uh, sir,

it's not like on this day I would do this thing.

Actually, I would do random that if uh like tomorrow is Sunday  so I don't know what will I be doing if I see  

my grandmother's stitching cloth, I will also  stitch cloth. If I see my mother cleaning,  

I will also clean. Different days have different  activities and all those activities I'll try to  

do that and I'll make something here and there  suppose while I'm cleaning something fell down  

the flower vase fell down and my mother scolded  me then I went for stitching. While stitching  

I stitched it wrong then from there  I went left with my whole day just  

uh goes on good so you like to try a lot of  really different activities or help your family  

um you mentioned your grandma you like  to help your grandma to stitch or so  

oh yes sir sometimes I do that I don't really  help her but yes I um just do that for my  

enjoyment and I also love to ride cycle half of  my I mean two hours or one hour or half an hour  

sorry I'll do cycling and then I can also  read the books and most importantly if  

there is nothing for me to do everyone  is busy in their own work I will start  

playing with my siblings role playing  games okay how many siblings do you have

sir I'm blessed with two siblings wow  and they're older than you or younger

Sir, they are younger than me oh wow it's a little bit  difficult to be the oldest child  

because you always have to take  care of your little siblings or  

if they do something bad you get in  trouble do you like being the oldest

sometimes I like sometimes I don't like  

Who do you think has it easier, the oldest  sibling or the youngest sibling? I think,

sir, it must be easier for the youngest sibling

Why do you think so? He doesn't have to worry

about anything, just enjoy his life

and whatever he wants it should be done if  he says this and he just starts crying the  

the thing will go to the older person and  that thing will somehow there will happen  

It's a little bit true because I am the  youngest sibling so I'm still the baby  

of the family or if I want something I know my  brother will do it for me or I know my parents  

treat me a little bit better than my  brother just because I'm the baby yeah  

oh yes and sometimes because the because  of my younger brother or I have a younger  

sister also when my younger brother is not  in action he was just doing be doing his  

work my younger sister will trouble me how she  will cry she will say you gave more rupees in  

my GULAK not in her GULAK then we have to put  extra rupees in hers and then I will have zero

you always have to share if you get anything you  have to share it with your little siblings if  

you get money if you get candy if you have a toy  yeah I've heard that older siblings are different  

from younger siblings so older siblings  are more responsible they're more helpful  

middle siblings like to have a lot of attention  and the younger sibling is usually more creative  

they like to do whatever they  want do you think it's true

Yes, a little bit. The older sibling, what you told about the older sibling

that is definitely true about the younger about  the middle sibling I think it is a little bit  

a little bit true and about the  youngest sibling it is definitely true  

but my brother is not much creative um I don't  think he's not he is but not much not too much yeah  

um how old are your siblings are  you close in age or far apart in age

I am far apart in age from my brother.

But I'm a little bit close to my sister and my sister is a  little bit close to my brother for example I mean  

um I mean there is four years gap between me and my  sister and there is a three years gap between  

my sister and my brother so you can imagine  how much Gap will be there between me and my  

brother seven years yeah right it's I think  though four years or three years is really  

perfect because you can still play with your  sibling you can teach them new things but if  

you're too close in age it's easy to fight  with your siblings or something like that

oh yes that is a little bit true  but I feel that if someone is the  

oldest for example me I am in___ and my  brother is in ___ and if he and I fight  

that would be more probable rather than  me and my sister because she's almost  

uh for only four years my brother is more  so I cannot say the statement is always true  

I think though I don't have a sister but I  think it's different for sisters that  

I've noticed a lot of times they can be  like best friends they have a really good  

relationship they play together [Music] do  you feel like your sister is your best friend

it is not I don't think this is capable for all  girls because my sister was my best very best  

friend but now she's a the now she's a little bit  angry and she tells not to mean me not  

to do this and the way I scold her the way she  scolds me well I can say that when she was a little  

bit small and I was also small I would say do this  otherwise I will not play with you then she would  

do it wait and she would happily do it but now  when I say do this I will not otherwise I will  

not play with you then she then she says okay  don't play with me I will play with my brother  

[Laughter]

um is there anything your brother or sister does  

that really annoys you or you  find it so so so so annoying

Yes, I find one habit of my sister and one habit of my brother

very very annoying my brother's habit is that  he always is very bossy and my sister's habit is  

that she always loves that whatever she wants  it should be done or she she loves argument  

ah she likes to have it her way oops

um I think that's common between  siblings is there anything you  

really really love about them or  something special your siblings do

I I also like my brother because he's cute and  he's very I can say is he can easily be tricked  

he's I mean he is very sorry he is very  sharp minded he is very sharp-minded and  

my he's very sharp-minded and is a little bit  and is a little bit he can also be tricked very  

easily sharp-minded and a good Observer  and the next thing I like about my sister

oh there you are hi I can see you um what  is it you like about your little sister

Oh, yes, I like my sister because she is very

kind and she is very sympathy  

or everybody even though I act that I own this  if I say I want that chocolate then I don't know  

you will not get she says she will say if I  say like this I wanna chocolate she'll say  

no you will not get it and if I I want that  chocolate she will give it easily [Laughter]  

you're definitely the oldest sister yeah

um what about you is there something that your  family loves about you or something that makes  

you special to your siblings. Sir, I don't  know anything about that yeah my siblings

will know about that.

That's good um yeah you might ask them one  day and you might be surprised by their answer

Nice idea, sir. But yes they might  give me the wrong answer because my  

brother is too young to give me  any answer that's true yeah good  

um so today we talked a little bit about your  family and your siblings and what you like in your  

free time before we go do you have any questions  for me or any questions about learning English

No, sir, I don't have any question

about learn English. Cool. You said you sometimes  like to read are you reading any books now

yes recently I started a book called  Alice in Wonderland oh yeah it's great

yes sir do you have a pet dog um sorry I  do not have a dog but my roommate has a dog  

so it's morning time and the dog just  woke up so she's saying good morning

what about you do you have any pets

sir I have only one pet cow  that also my grandfather sold  

so I don't have any pet right now  yeah but a cow is such a fun pet good

it was really nice to meet you  today and you did so well I  

enjoyed hearing about your brother and  your sister it was a fun conversation
