It is Black Friday.

Have you been tempted yet by one of those wonderful bargains?

Of course.

Today is Black Friday.

A lot of people will be searching for those bargains.

They will be looking for something that is on offer. Hi, everybody.

I couldn't resist coming on for a few moments, because I know a lot of people are excited.

If you have been looking on the internet this morning, you would have.

You would have noticed lots and lots of people are selling stuff.

Selling stuff, stuff.

But not everyone likes to enjoy Black Friday.

A lot of people stay at home and don't get involved at all.

And of course, a lot of people these days also buy things on the internet as well.

They like to go online and buy things as well. Isn't that lovely?

I've just decided to come in and say hello.

I know this weekend a lot of people are busy for two reasons.

First of all, Black Friday everyone is out spending their salary and that is one of the reasons why we have Black Friday

at this particular time, because it is the final salary that people will receive before the Christmas season.

And of course, in the United States, they are celebrating their Thanksgiving, which is all

connected

to the, I suppose you would call it a type of emigration emigrate.

You emigrate.

You go from one place to another to live or to settle.

So that is the anniversary that Thanksgiving is all about.

For those pilgrims that made that rather arduous journey all those years ago.

So that is what is happening in the USA. They are having their Thanksgiving.

Just in case you are watching in the United States, can I say Happy Thanksgiving to you?

And of course, just like Christmas,

normally people will have turkey, something to eat,

some sort of large meal that they will share together with their family.

And it's very similar to Christmas.

It is strange and it is true that there are some similarities between Christmas and Thanksgiving.

In fact, I suppose if you live in the USA you are going to have two celebrations.

So I suppose if you have Thanksgiving and then later you have Christmas.

So you, you actually have two celebrations, which means that a lot of people at the moment are very busy.

So that is the reason why

most people have their Christmas shopping.

Or they might go looking for some sort of bargain. Bargain.

Now there is a great word.

Something that is a bargain is something that has a good price,

something you get at a much lower price than you would normally pay.

So many shops at this time of year are trying

to make a profit, and this is their last chance before the holiday season begins.

For those wondering, no, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in this country.

It is only celebrated in the United States.

It is a way of showing things.

It is a kind of religious festival where people give thanks for the discovery.

Of the the New World, as it used to be called.

It is a very a unusual moment of time because I am here with you on Friday.

I'm only staying for a short time, but I have to say, I'm feeling rather excited because Christmas is on its way.

Mr. Steve, last night was talking about this, and he said he can't believe that Christmas is just around

the corner, just three weeks away, roughly three weeks before Christmas

arrives, Valentin has already watched my new video.

Wow, that is incredible.

I can only assume that you received a notification

because there are some people these days who do not receive notifications for my live streams,

flowers says.

I brought a new stand mixer mixer a new stand mixer.

It was 50% discount.

I have to say that sounds rather nice when you say a stand mixer, do you mean something for mixing food?

Some sort of automatic device?

Maybe for mixing food?

Maybe if you are making a cake, sometimes you will have to use the device to mix everything together.

But if you have managed to find a bargain and I have to say

50% off is pretty good, I have to say so congratulations!

If you have found a genuine bargain.

And this is one of the reasons why I don't really trust Black Friday, to be honest.

I think sometimes the prices will be reduced.

After they've been increased.

By that I mean sometimes shops might put their prices up

a few weeks before Christmas or a few weeks before Thanksgiving, and then just before Black Friday.

They will reduce the prices so it will appear as if they are actually lowering the prices.

So I am a little bit suspicious.

I have to say, I am slightly suspicious of Black Friday.

I don't entirely trust it to be honest.

But if you are lucky and if you do, if you do search, if you do a lot of searching, maybe you can find something.

And of course, on Mondays there there is something called Cyber

Monday where lots of things are sold over the internet as well.

So there are many savings and bargains to be had

on Monday as well.

But of course, most people think of Black Friday.

They think of this particular day as the day when

those bargains are available.

It can be a little misleading.

Some of the sales are quite misleading.

And I know over the years some companies have actually been punished or fined

for misleading people during this particular time of year.

Duncan, I do a lot of searching and it was more expensive in other shops.

Well, it is a good feeling. I have to say.

It is a nice feeling when you find a bargain quite often, and I've noticed over the past 3 or 4 years

it does appear as if lots of shops are always having sales.

Always.

So the sales never seem to end.

They seem to be going on and on all the time.

And I suppose you might say that

these days it is hard to find

a genuine sale item, something that is genuine, something that is really reduced in the sales.

But you can't get a bargain.

If something is a bargain, it means it is worth that money.

In fact, sometimes the thing the you buy, the thing you purchase can be worth much more

than the price you paid because it is a bargain.

How is Steve now?

Steve is slowly getting better.

He is at work today.

He's gone out to work, but he is feeling much better.

Tomorrow we are going to see some friends who live in a place called Chester.

So tomorrow we are going to spend some time with the lovely friends and we are going out for a curry.

I was asking Steve what type of curry he will be eating tomorrow.

He's not sure, but normally Mr.

Steve liked something mild or something with lots of vegetables and maybe a little bit of chicken.

Something that is not too spicy, not too hot.

So Mr. Steve often has something called a balti.

Balti, and this is a type of Indian dish that is normally served in a large bowl.

And it's sizzling hot.

I have to say, I do rather like.

Chicken tikka.

Have you ever tried chicken tikka?

It's a rather sweet dish

and it has an interesting colour.

It looks slightly orange in colour,

but it is quite delicious.

So that is what we are doing.

Tomorrow we are going to have a lovely Indian meal and I can't wait because it's been a long time since we've been out for curry.

I'm looking forward to that.

I have to say, I always make the mistake whenever I go out for a curry.

I always eat too much at the start of the meal, so quite often they will give you lots of things to eat.

Maybe crackers, large crackers and they are called Papa Dom's.

They're lovely.

They are like giant crisps and normally I eat too many of them.

So by the time my main meal comes, sometimes I've eaten too much

for the starters, you see, so they will often give you lots of food besides your main meal.

Lots of things are served to you.

It does look rather nice. Yes, it sounds rather nice. And guess what?

It tastes rather nice as well.
